Thank you so much for placing your orders right away. I'm so touched.

I started embroidery this morning.
It's so much fun that I keep saying out loud to myself, 'Oh, this is so fun...' haha.
And I find myself swooning over how cute the Iro-no-ko characters are.

I'd like to introduce a little bit of how I make the Iro-no-ko copycat pouches.

First, I copy the photo of the Iro-no-ko to the size I want to embroider. I trace the outline so it's easier to transfer onto the fabric.

A light box, which I learned about from my embroidery teacher (in my own mind!), Hanakomachi-san.
It's like a glowing writing board. An essential item for tracing.
I place it on this to transfer it onto the fabric.
The pen is a Frixion Ball, which I also learned about from Hanakomachi-san. It's sold as a ballpoint pen that can be erased with an eraser, but when you draw on fabric, it can be erased with an iron. It's like magic, it disappears in an instant!

After that, it's just fun stitching. Just stitching away.

I'm right in the middle of stitching now. A happy time.

I'm making these while thinking of the people who said they wanted one. Naturally, my needle moves very carefully.
I feel like I'm having a conversation. It feels like we're connected.
