Sacchan's Piano. (Hito-iro Loss)
I would like to write a little more about the Hito-iro Exhibition.
I think that the Hito-iro Exhibition @ Yokohama, along with the piano tones of Sachi and Peace-san, will continue to flow pleasantly through my memories from here on out.
I plan for many scenes from the Hito-iro Exhibition to appear in the lantern slide I see at the end of my life, and I think the sound of the piano will be playing then, too.
During the private live performance on the first day of the Hito-iro Exhibition, I sat in a chair diagonally behind Sacchan so I could see her hands playing the grand piano.
Regardless of the instrument, I love watching the hands that play it. Just as you can see the feelings of a singer in their face, you can see expressions in their hands.
The moment just before Sacchan touched the keys for the first note.
From those fingertips, I felt the "you know..." that comes when someone takes a breath and begins to speak.
Oh, I thought, that's the same "you know" that comes right before Sacchan always talks to me.
Like when she's about to confide something important, or when she's about to start telling a funny story and is holding back a laugh, or like when she says, "Uwa-chan, there's something I want to ask you."
So I listened with a feeling of, "Hmm? What is it?" Sometimes I would nod as if to say "uh-huh," or close my eyes as if to say, "I see."
For my sake, because I love Kiyoshiro, she performed "Hitotsu Dake."
Knowing how incredibly difficult that was for her made me tremble, but that miraculous "Hitotsu Dake" sounded so smooth and pleasant.
Hirobot-san's singing voice reached me, warm and cozy, and I felt as though Yuko-san was singing in the style of Akiko Yano.
Everything was warm, and even though my heart was racing, I felt a sense of relief I had never experienced before.
Sacchan, Hirobot-san, Yuko-san, thank you so much.
I will remember these sounds and voices forever.
The Hito-iro Loss series will probably have its final installment tomorrow!
