The buds on the weeping plum tree in the garden
have begun to swell plumply.

Even though they were tightly closed until yesterday,
today, a few have started to bloom.

The seasons are definitely moving forward.

A faint, sweet scent is mixed into the wind,
and I can hear the footsteps of spring.
