when I woke up in the morning, it hadn't charged at all.
Starting from that small frustration,
I began prototyping a wireless power transfer fitting.
Last time, it was a practical model that prioritized only 'not slipping,' but
this time, I changed the direction a bit,

as the theme, anda floating diagonal typewas brought to life.
■ The origin of the idea: 'Wouldn't it be interesting if it were floating?'
When it comes to wireless power transfer,
placing it flat
standing it on a stand
these two patterns are almost everything.
But one day, I suddenly thought,
“Wouldn't it be interesting if this looked like it was floating in mid-air?”
That is what gave birth to this floating-style structure.
■ The 3D printed model itself

The main body this time
is configured to 'support a circular Qi charger at the tip'.
A solid base at the bottom
A support pillar on the back
The charger only makes contact at the tip
When viewed from the front,
it is a structure that looks 'almost like it is floating in mid-air'.structure.

the impression becomes much more 'gadget-like' all at once.
The cable can be routed naturally from the back
When viewed from the front, the support is barely visible
It looks like just a black circle floating there
Honestly, at this point,
I felt that 'this alone makes my desk a little more fun.'

The back side is definitely a 'structure'.
The support pillar takes the load securely
The cable goes downward naturally
All functions are hidden in the part not visible from the front
The fact that the
'impression is completely different' between the front and back is also an interesting point.
■ The 'sense of floating' is completed when you place your smartphone

The moment you place your smartphone,
the intent of this structure is conveyed best.
You see the stand in the foreground
The Qi pad is in the back
And the smartphone is 'floating in 3D' between them
Even though it is actually 'placed' there,
visually it is 'floating'—it's a strange sensation.
*It's hard to see, but you can also confirm the blue light is on, which is the indicator that 'charging is in progress'!
■ How is the practicality? To be honest
While the appearance is quite satisfying,
in terms of practicality, honestly, it's like this.
Left-right alignment is somewhat strict
It cannot be said that 'just placing it' is completely hands-free
This alone is insufficient as a complete countermeasure for misalignment
In other words,
'This is not a "finished form for practical use," but a "design prototype"'
is how it is positioned.
■ There isn't just one 'correct answer' for wireless charging
Up to this point, we have already seen
a practical-oriented type that doesn't slip
a design-oriented type that makes it float
as two directions.
But in reality, there are even more—
a 'dock type' that you fully insert into
a 'clamp type' that fixes to the edge of a desk
a 'magnet type' that attaches just by bringing it close
a 'vertical installation type' that mounts to a wall
and so on;
there is not just one 'answer' for wireless charging.
■ But usually, you 'cannot choose'
Seeing these forms, many people must be thinking the following:
I cannot choose because I cannot make it
I give up because I cannot design it
You have no choice but to choose from commercial products
So, as a result,
'I have some complaints, but I'll put up with it'
is the state you end up settling for.
■ This kind of discomfort is exactly when custom-made comes into play

I want to make it more stable
