I tried making a dragon animation video with Seedance 2.0 [Prompt Introduction]
Hello, Makari here.
Today, I tried animating my favorite illustration using Seedance 2.0💡

I will introduce the steps I took to create this video💡
I'm also sharing the prompts, so
I hope you find them helpful.
Steps for generating the video this time
Here are the steps I took to create the video.
Create an image with Midjourney
Create a storyboard with ChatGPT
Generate a video with Seedance
Let's get started right away!
......................
Prepare the illustration
This is the illustration I'm turning into a video today.

It's a dragon generated in Midjourney🌿
Create a storyboard
I'll use ChatGPT to create a storyboard based on the image💡
Attach the image from earlier to ChatGPT and enter the prompt.
▼Prompt
I want to make a video using this dragon
Create a storyboard
Each image size is 16:9
No text, images only

I decided to go with this one!

Generate video
It seems possible to generate a video by attaching only the storyboard, but this time, I also entered a prompt.
▼Prompt
A beautiful and fantastical fantasy animation based on the reference storyboard image. A pink dragon adorned with flowers, possessing a gentle and mysterious atmosphere, dances through a dreamlike world filled with flower petals and light. The dragon's colors are based on coral pink, peach, white, and pale teal, featuring a supple, long body, elegant horns, flowing petal-like fins, flower-like decorative scales, and pearl-like jewel ornaments.
Scene composition:
The opening begins with a close-up of the dragon's face surrounded by flowers and dancing petals. The dragon slowly lifts its head and gazes toward a warm light. As the camera pulls back slightly, the dragon soars into the sky. Next, the dragon flies gracefully through pastel-colored clouds, its long body and tail trailing like ribbons. Petals dance around it on the wind.
After that, the dragon flies in a wide arc over misty mountains and blooming flowers. It then glides just above the water's surface, creating shimmering ripples on the calm water. To avoid monotony, the camera shows the dragon's movements from various angles, such as close-ups of the face, side-tracking shots, wide overhead views, and low-angle shots looking up.
In the middle section, the dragon circles beautifully in the air, with petals swirling around it. This creates a soft and magical atmosphere.
Towards the end, the atmosphere of the sky slowly changes from a warm sunset to a deep night sky. Finally, under the starry sky, the dragon curls its body around a glowing orb, drifting quietly while surrounded by petals and sparkling particles. The final scene is fantastical, calm, and soothing.
Visual style:
Japanese fantasy anime style. Soft watercolor illustration style. Cinematic lighting expression. Warm, pale pastel colors. Delicate petals, glowing particles, and a transparent atmosphere. Overall, an elegant, dreamlike, quiet, and beautiful atmosphere.
Camera direction:
Cinematic camera work. Slow zooms, smooth tracking, gentle pans, and natural angle changes. Interweaving wide landscape shots with delicate close-ups to ensure the footage never feels static.
Movement:
The dragon's body moves with fluid grace. Petals flutter softly, clouds drift slowly, and shimmering ripples spread across the water's surface. Light particles drift gently, resulting in smooth and elegant movement overall.
No dialogue. No text. No logos. No watermarks.
16:9, cinematic, high quality, smooth animation.
This time, I used Skywork's
Seedance 2.0 to generate the video💡

Here is the video that was created with a single prompt✨
There are some unnatural parts, so if you want to use it as a proper video, editing will be necessary.
But it's still exciting to see an illustration come to life...!
In conclusion
This time, I used an illustration created with Midjourney, made a storyboard with ChatGPT, and generated a video with Seedance 2.0.
Just seeing my favorite illustration start to move little by little made the world feel so much bigger, and it was a lot of fun✨
Rather than using the created video as a finished work as-is, it seems more practical to cut out the parts that concern me or use it as short video material.
I look forward to continuing to experiment with AI illustrations and AI video creation while having fun!
Thank you for watching until the end🌿
