Mom and Daughter... A Weekday Date at the Long-Awaited Library♡

The other day.
My daughter and I went to the library!

My daughter loves the library and picture books! Whenever something happens, she begs,
"Let's go to the library!"
I tried to get myself moving to make her wish come true, but the day before this, she chose to read picture books at home, so we postponed it for a day as
"something to look forward to tomorrow."

On this day, my daughter's
"let's go to the library"
fever was heating up from the morning!
She got dressed with enthusiasm, took out her own lunch box, and said,
"Put my lunch in this!"
It was so cute how she was ready and looked like she was about to dash out of the house at any moment♡

We arrived at the library around 10:30 and spent until 13:00 just picking out picture books, reading them, picking out more... repeating that over and over...
We had lunch, and then from 13:30 until just before 15:00, we were back at the library... She enjoyed picture books with such focus for four hours... My throat is shot ( ;∀;)
When it was time to leave, I asked,
"Let's have a snack!"
and she immediately replied,
"No!"

I had no choice... so I deployed my ultimate weapon:
"Do you want to go buy some Anpanman snacks?"
but she said,
"No! I want to read books!"
and to my surprise, Anpanman was defeated...
I like reading too, but I never expected her to love picture books this much at two years old... I surrender💦
I managed to persuade her by using the excuse of "a souvenir for Grandma" and we left the library, but inside the store, she said in a super loud voice, "Let's buy snacks for Grandma♡ Grandma loves snacks so much♡" Sorry, Mom... everyone around us now knows you're a foodie💦

...After buying the souvenir for Grandma, when she smiled at me and said,
"So, shall we go to the library now?♡"
I felt faint... Mom is truly exhausted... Please, give me a break.

Even on the bus ride home, she said things like,
"I read the bear book. It said 'hot, hot.' Let's go again tomorrow,"
talking so happily about the books she read and begging to go again. It made me so happy and she was so cute that I wanted to take her again tomorrow if I could.
My daughter's cuteness is just unfair💦

My date with my daughter was tough, but it was pure happiness♡
