The protagonist is a Russian sniper.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, I condemned them.
However, reading this novel changed my perspective.

Just as Doraemon said,
in war, both sides believe they are "right." Both sides have their own [justice].

I cannot condone Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
However, surely Russia has its own version of justice.

Setting that aside, in any case, this novel is

fascinating!

I kept turning the pages.

War, humanity, the heart, actions,
conflicts and decisions,
training and trust,
vigilance and madness,
precision and a moment of carelessness,
all of these descriptions are

……vivid and profound!

It is depicted deeply, in detail, and with great care.

In the end, I felt the plea that there is no justice in war.
It depicted a state of mind that probably couldn't be fully expressed in a movie, and I was keenly reminded of the fun and power of novels as entertainment.
I became absorbed in the world of this story and enjoyed it to my heart's content.

I can recommend it with confidence.
