🎙️ "I Tried Making a Music Video" Noctalis — Before the Moon Falls Magincia ft. Maelith Crescent
🌙 Magincia ft. Maelith Crescent
I have released several original songs (including AI arrangements) through TuneCore so far.
I haven't written any articles about that on NOTE yet, but
actually, most of them were songs created for my own creative world, "MAGINCIA".
And this time, I have created a new "UNIT" to sing those very songs.
The band name is simply "MAGINCIA".
Furthermore, I turned the female vocalist into a character,
named her Maelith Crescent,
and decided to have her appear in the future as well (lol.

The atmosphere is exactly that of a gothic, symphonic metal sound.
Perhaps you could call it the aesthetics of decadence.
Personally, I am conscious of a certain Evanescence-like vibe.
This time, I created a short PV as a pre-release teaser for the song "NOCTALIS".
The song is scheduled for release on June 2nd.
This song also serves as the theme song for "Tarot of Moonlight 0.9: Age of the Gods Edition".
— Taking on the challenge of lip-syncing for the first time (though it's not quite that much of a challenge)
I have made many AI videos before, but what I struggled with quite a bit this time was,
"lip-syncing to the singing
.
You'll understand once you try it, but in a word, it's simple.
Since it's just a matter of throwing in still images (or video) and audio sources...
(Creating the original data is the hard part)
However, the moment you aim for "perfection," it never ends (lol).
You end up making endless minor adjustments, and before you know it, even the credits disappear...
I truly believe that resignation and compromise are essential when it comes to AI lol.
This part was quite interesting, so I'm planning to compile the steps, which AIs I used, the struggles I faced, and various other things into a separate article.
That said, as my first short PV, I'm patting myself on the back for managing to capture quite a good atmosphere (lol).
Well, if you don't think that way, you can't keep up with creative work.
— The genre of Gothic and Symphonic Metal
By the way, the genre falls into the so-called
Gothic Metal
Symphonic Metal
category.
However, I do think this genre is a bit unique, or perhaps on the minor side, in Japan.
I don't know about recently, but around the year 2000, the obscurity of Gothic Metal was insane.
It was a genre that wasn't even recognized until Evanescence appeared.
But if you listen to it, you'll understand; I think Japanese people actually quite like this genre.
It's dark, but beautiful, or something like that... (lol)
Nowadays, if a famous overseas band of that type comes to Japan, there's enough passion to fill a 2,000 to 5,000-person venue, but I get the impression it's not the type of genre that will spread widely in the domestic mainstream.
So this time, I produced it with an overseas audience in mind from the start.
Well, it's not exactly the central genre of the hit charts overseas either, but it still has a deep-rooted culture in places like Europe.
So, I'm looking forward to the reactions from those countries.
It's difficult to mass-produce full music videos, but I intend to continue making these short PVs as part of my creative activities, enjoying the process along the way.
