To me, happiness is nothing more than
'being myself in this very moment'
and nothing else.
Happiness is not something you 'become,' it's something you 'realize'.
As some lamb once said, 'The more you seek happiness, the more it runs away,'
as long as you are obsessed with happiness, you will never grasp it.
Happiness isn't something you capture in points, like the moment you buy a luxury bag or the moment someone whispers love to you.
It's the audacity to wake up in the morning, look at your own face in the mirror, and think,
'I'm looking sharp again today.'
It's the composure to think,
'Oh my, this person has such a poor choice of words,'when someone you dislike says something nasty to you.
The accumulation of such integrity, where you don't betray yourself,
results in an aura that is happiness.
800-yen beef turns hell into heaven
I said something high and mighty, but I'm human too.
I'm not armed with an iron will twenty-four-seven.
In the past, I was obsessed with being with someone,
I'd go out drinking with seniors or bosses I didn't even get along with...
Even if that person wasn't interested in me,
I felt a little relieved just by being in that environment.

happiness spreads slowly from the bottom of my stomach.
That is the ultimate reward that I, who loves myself, give to myself.
My face at that moment must be shining brighter than any luxury beauty serum.
Happiness that comes from just feeling secure by hanging out with people you don't click with is like cheap foundation. I realized it melts away with just a single drop of sweat.
But the happiness you feel when you treat yourself perfectly,
shines in your heart forever, like a lifelong diamond.
I decide what my happiness is.
What I think is 'beautiful' or 'comfortable' is
the rule of my world.
I believe it's fine for everyone to have their own world.
So you should build your own world, too, and feel happiness within it.
That might mean wearing bright red lipstick,
or it might mean making sukiyaki with 800 yen beef.

If you have time to ask others, 'What is happiness?',
go to the supermarket right now and buy what you really want to eat.
