Budokan, Kohaku, and hiatus. What Angela Aki found beyond that.
The program I look forward to every week
is 'Another Sky'.
It is a travel and documentary program
where guests revisit places of memories
or locations that served as turning points.
The recent episode featuring Angela Aki
was so moving that it brought me to tears,
it really struck a chord with me...!!
What was it that struck me?
It was the fact that even an artist known to everyone,
who produced massive hits
and performed on Kohaku,
had a period where they wondered,'Who am I?'
and lost sight of themselves.
No matter who you are,
you cannot keep running
while leaving your true self behind.
That is what I felt.

Angela Aki suspended her activities in 2014 at the height of her popularity,
and moved to America to pursue her dream
of 'becoming a musical theater composer'.
And for seven years, she studied in earnest.
Finally, I can focus on music!
Just as she thought that,
she began to feel something was wrong with her mind and body.

Work, raising children, her marriage.
She had no energy for any of it.
Being of mixed heritage.
Emotions she had suppressed since childhood.
Music she had continued out of defiance toward those around her.
The things she had tried not to look at
gradually grew to a size she could no longer ignore.
She had reached her limit.
That was when she encountered counseling.

Past experiences.
The assumptions that held me back.
And,
“If I don't succeed, I have no value.”
That kind of unconscious premise.
She said she carefully re-examined
each of those one by one.
What was impressive was that
even after performing at the Budokan
or appearing on Kohaku,
“What's next?”
“And what after that?”
She spoke of how there was no end to it.
I was trying to prove my worth
through external evaluation.
But that didn't make the pain go away.
That is why she faced herself.
And what she arrived at was,
“Whether I achieve something
or whether I don't,
my value does not change.”
That was the feeling she reached.

While listening to this story, I thought
this isn't just a story for special people.
I thought.
Because,
the people who come to see me
are the same.
“I have to do things properly.”
“I must not be a burden.”
“I have to try harder.”
People who have lived
prioritizing those around them like that,
sometimes leave their own hearts behind
without even realizing it.
They pretend not to see those emotions,
say “I'm fine,” and push through
to keep themselves together.
And then one day,
a sense of discomfort appears,
wondering, “Is it okay to keep going like this?”
But,
that discomfort itself is not a bad thing.
Rather, I think it is
a sign to return to your true self.

Those who have actually
taken my dialogue sessions
are gradually regaining
the ability to cherish themselves, not push themselves too hard, and ask, "What do I really want to do?"
Life doesn't suddenly
change dramatically.
However,
Noticing your feelings.
Acknowledging your true intentions.
Reducing the number of times you blame yourself.
By accumulating such small changes,
I see through my clients that
people can truly move forward.
I myself have also
continued to face myself
ever since I decided to start my own business.
Scared. Anxious. Can I do this?
There are days filled with such feelings.
Or rather, it's a constant series of them,
to the point where I'm discouraged by my own weakness, haha.
Even so,
while listening to my heart's voice
and trusting myself,
I take action and move forward one step at a time.
Because I took action, I believe
that this accumulation is what's important.

And this time,
like a counselor who stood by Angela Aki,
I strongly felt once again that I want to be someone who can support others in organizing the confusion they carry and finding out, "What do I really want to do!"
Perhaps right now, you too
might be feeling, "Is it okay to stay like this?"
You might be harboring
such a small sense of unease.
You are doing your best every day.
From the outside, you seem to be doing just fine.
But for some reason, your heart can't keep up.
You don't know what you really want to do.
I believe that at times like that,
it is important to listen to the voice
inside yourself.
In the "Individual Consultation" currently being offered,
rather than giving you the answers,
we will organize your current self through dialogue,
"What do I really want to do?"
is a time to discover this together.
✔ Your mind will be organized
✔ The cause of your confusion will become clear
✔ You will notice your thinking habits
✔ Your next step will become visible
Your vision will become clear with an "Aha!" moment,
and you will be able to move toward the future.
This is a 90-minute session where you can reach that state.
Also, on our official LINE, as a free bonus,
🎁 A type diagnosis to understand the true nature of your confusion
🎁 3 dialogue exercises to loosen your assumptions
