MACHIDUCREW DAO x Musashino University Faculty of Entrepreneurship | Mihara Total Reinforcement Camp 2026 Begins!
For 10 days, take on regional challenges with all your might.
This is not a sightseeing trip. A "camp" where we sell culture, analyze data, and solve problems through business is starting right here in Mihara City.
🚉 AM 7:00 | Once I got off the night bus, I was on a "stage for adventure"
February 18, 2026, morning.
The five of us from the Musashino University Faculty of Entrepreneurship arrived at Mihara Station in Hiroshima Prefecture by night bus.
Seeing the sea, mountains, and retro townscape spreading out in front of the station, our 10 days began with a mix of slight nervousness and great excitement for this town we were visiting for the first time! 🎉

🥐 Morning luxury and an encounter with tradition: Hattendo bread and Mihara Daruma 🎨🖌️
For breakfast, we went to the cafe of "Hattendo," which Mihara is proud of. Believe it or not, the bread is all-you-can-eat! After filling our stomachs luxuriously from the morning, we were guided by Mr. Uratani and experienced making Mihara Daruma dolls.
The Daruma dolls are shaped like "Okiagari-koboshi" (roly-poly toys) that have small stones inside, make a sound when shaken, and stand back up even if they fall over; they are very adorable. I was captivated by their round form and the wishes imbued in them.
We all got absorbed in painting their faces, and our unique "MY Daruma" dolls were completed! It was a great change of pace and a precious time to touch upon Mihara's traditional culture.

🏚️ Potential of the base | "Love for the town" dwelling in vacant houses
After that, we toured the activity base where we will be staying this time.
We couldn't hide our surprise at how places that were originally "vacant houses," such as the community space "okatte," the house for rent "negura," and our accommodation "Takokun," have been reborn into such vibrant spaces.

I felt firsthand that it was packed not just with renovation technology, but with overwhelming "love" and "vitality" for the town of Mihara.
🎯 Our mission | What to leave behind as "change-makers"
From the afternoon, the general briefing finally began.
The activity contents proposed to us, considering our backgrounds and learning so far, were all truly rewarding.
Not just "participating," but "how can we change the town by being involved?"
As our assigned roles were decided, I could see the expressions of all the members changing from "students" to "stakeholders."
🔥 Overwhelming passion | "The key to success is to value people"
From 6:30 PM, we participated in a social gathering with local entrepreneurs, including Mr. Tanaka (Musubi Co., Ltd.), who runs "Musubi," which delivers Basque cheesecake from Mihara to the whole country.
Mr. Tanaka's words held an intense power to move people.
"Above all, meet people, communicate, take action, and value people."
There is no shortcut to success. I learned firsthand that strong action of "trying it out first" toward a goal is what moves people and paves the way.
Touching the passionate thoughts of adults who love Mihara and are seriously engaged in business, our aspirations were raised even higher.

🌟 Finally | Off to the best start
After experiencing the passionate feelings of everyone in Mihara, I am now filled with the energy to 'get moving quickly!'
Starting tomorrow, we will continue to dig deeper into the charm of Mihara and do our absolute best to find what we can contribute.
We have had the best possible start to our 10 days in Mihara!
