No wall in life is insurmountable - Makape's Days #1918
This is Makape.
I realized this while listening to Yasushi Kitagawa's work on Audible.
I am currently living in Ifugao Province in the northern Philippines.
Of course, I am not in an environment where Japanese books are sold, but the internet connection is just good enough, and I am happy to be able to use Audible for reading (listening).
Bestselling author Yasushi Kitagawa's "Tegamiya" (The Letter Writer) is generally aimed at young people, I suppose, but it is a work with many lessons for me as well, and I have been listening to it repeatedly lately.
In it, there was a statement that sounded a bit scary when I first heard it: "There is no wall in your life that you cannot overcome."

It said that because humans are growing, challenges appear as "walls" precisely because we possess the ability to overcome the walls that correspond to our growth.
I see!
And so, a feeling of gratitude is emerging within me for the very fact that I can still feel the "happiness" of being able to take on such challenges every day.
For example, regarding my early morning trash-picking walks, at first I thought, "Doing this every day is impossible," but even if it's drizzling, once I start walking, I quickly get used to it and it has become a habit.
After all, early morning walks have the effect of conditioning the body, and since I think while moving my body much more than when I am "lazing around" in bed, I feel "refreshed" when I return, and it is also very effective as it leads to a "bowel movement" in the toilet after a subsequent shower.
Even in such a rural area, there are people who jog in the dark wearing headlamps.
Since there is a state university 3.5 km away, young people gather there, so I suppose there are people who are active among them.
Of course, there are also young people who climb up the hill to hold parties, drink alcohol, and scatter trash.
There are all kinds of people who make up the world.
I, Makape, am one of them.
As for me, I feel glad that I have my "early morning trash-picking walks," which are good for my own health while contributing at least a little to the local community.

This year looks like it will be a big one for me.
That is because I intend to make the Philippines, where I currently live, my base instead of Japan.
I haven't finished sorting things out in Japan yet, but I have decided to take on this challenge, believing that this, too, is not an insurmountable wall.
This was Makapy.
Thank you for reading until the end. Rather than hesitating and doing nothing, let's think while we act!
