[Day 8] I taught AI 'The Little Prince' and ended up with an emotionally unstable art app with 30 features #30DayAppChallenge
Day 8 of the 30-day app building challenge. Today, the first day of the second week, I decided to change things up a bit and focus on "color and story".
...but I did it again. The terrifying thing about AI coding is that just by asking, "Can I add this?" or "Can it do this?", features get implemented infinitely.
After repeated requests like "Make it more emotional!" and "Make it more like The Little Prince!", I ended up with a beautiful yet chaotic piece of digital art equipped with all 30 features.
📱 Day 8: Lucky Color Burst - The Little Prince Edition
Every time you click, colors burst, sounds play, and poetry emerges. It is an interactive art piece based on the world of "The Little Prince".
👉 Go find your own planet (Demo site) https://kotodamablog.sakura.ne.jp/30days_antigravity/8Day/index.html (*Sound will play. PC recommended)
🌹 Features I got too carried away with
There are 30 in total, but I'll introduce the ones born from the "AI running wild (?)".
1. If left alone, the "Baobabs" will encroach If you just sit there without interacting, an unsettling "black shadow" will spread from the edges of the screen. If you don't click to "tend" to it, the planet (screen) will be swallowed. It's a needlessly realistic sense of crisis.
2. "B612" Fisheye lens mode With one button, the screen distorts like a sphere (asteroid). It's a mystery whether this needed to be done in a web browser, but the immersion is incredible.
3. The invisible "Fox" and "Truth" If you stay still, orange particles (the fox) will approach. Furthermore, if you turn on "Invisible Mode," the screen goes completely dark, just like in the original story where it says, "What is essential is invisible to the eye" (only particles near the mouse can be seen with the mind's eye).
4. Automatically generated "poetry" and "music" AI-generated poems are displayed to match the colors.
"Ancient flames awaken..."
"Seeds burst beneath the frozen earth..." The BGM is also played automatically via the Web Audio API. It's incredibly emotional.
🛠️ Behind the scenes of development
I'm "always cutting it close." Thanks to AI, the speed of writing code is lightning fast, but I'm wasting time on the process of "adding too many features → browser gets heavy → adjusting it".
Honestly, there might be bugs internally. But I feel like The Little Prince would say, "Isn't it fine that it's not perfect? That's human (and AI) nature."
Tomorrow... tomorrow I will definitely make something simple! (Foreshadowing)
