Childhood
I was a very sensitive and shy, "typical girl." Apparently, I was a crybaby who wouldn't leave my mother's side. Even though I would cry just seeing a doctor's face, I was a tomboy at home who loved playing pranks. It seems I was very jealous of my younger brother and went through a phase of acting like a baby again.
Elementary School Years
I was still shy and sensitive, but I made many friends. I was given the opportunity to try various extracurricular activities like Benesse's Challenge, cram school, abacus, aikido, and swimming. I am nothing but grateful for that now. From this time on, I loved subjects other than academics, such as arts and crafts and physical education. My spirits also dipped after my pet dog (a beagle) passed away.
Junior High School Years
I didn't have anything I wanted to do in the future, and I was completely lost when it came to high school entrance exams. I consider my elementary to junior high school years to be my "dark era." I was constantly negative and often felt self-destructive. I spent all my time crying and even skipped school. However, I loved home economics, technology, art, physical education, and music. As a junior high student, I felt like a weak person with no particular strengths, and I would cry night after night thinking about my reason for existing.
High School Years
Once I became a high school student, my "dark era" vanished all at once, and my youth began. Sometimes the version of me from that dark era would flicker in my mind, but gradually, the positive, bright, tomboyish me from the past began to show her face. Life became easier. I quit the badminton club, using entrance exams as an excuse, and joined a cultural club with friends where we could hold training camps at school. I fully enjoyed sports festivals, school festivals, school trips, ski trips, events, studying with teachers until nearly 10 PM after school without going to cram school, and romance.
University Years
I got into my first-choice university, but just as I was about to start, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. I was frustrated and had to give up on many things, including my dream of studying abroad. For three full years, I couldn't attend university normally, yet the incredibly high tuition fees kept being deducted. I was frustrated, to say the least. Everyone was reluctantly giving up on their activities, job hunting, and settling into jobs. I couldn't give up. Thinking, "Let me at least have a college life!", I started working three part-time jobs and took action. First, I opened an online shop for handmade accessories, lived in Kamigoto for a month, and jumped into an unpaid internship in the Philippines for a year. This sequence of events actually all connects and has a proper backstory. (I plan to summarize this in another article.) Since then, I've traveled alone to Thailand, went to Korea, and went back to Thailand... I really didn't want to job hunt, but after experiencing so many things, I wanted to, and I secured a job as a UI/UX designer at a human resources company while taking online interviews from abroad.

The Present and the Future
I am currently very enthusiastic about starting my new job. At the same time, I am filled with the desire to do as much as I can while I still have the chance. It feels like the dark days of my elementary and middle school years were a lie. It is as if my personality has changed. I think I have become positive and cheerful now.
I have also summarized the things I can only do now in another article, 'Only Half a Year Left of College Life: 10 Things I Want to Do Now,' so please take a look! ⇩
