The moment I realized that someone else's happiness lies beyond my own
This is what matters most, after all
I work at a cosmetic dermatology clinic twice a week, performing cosmetic procedures.
Outside of that, I run an online consultation room for women's concerns,
where I often listen to issues regarding love lives, marital relationships,
workplace dynamics, and desires to change careers.
Whether it's cosmetic dermatology or counseling,
the main focus is almost always "listening to what they have to say."
In cosmetic procedures, I ask: what is the person struggling with right now?
What do they want me to do? What would make them happy?
Improving acne, wanting to fade dark spots, wanting a lift, concerns about pores, improving dull skin...
I conduct detailed interviews to uncover the many concerns they have.
And, from their occupation, family structure, and way of speaking,
I carefully read their personality and nature.
The way the other person desires
Why do I conduct such careful interviews?
Because the process people desire varies from person to person.
Some dislike pain, some want to keep costs down, some hate
coming in repeatedly, and some want thorough improvement even if it's expensive!
I do it so I don't miss those kinds of requests.
That is the same for my work as a counselor.
What kind of worries do they have, what are they most troubled by,
what do they want me to do, what do they want to become,
do they want advice, or do they just want someone to listen...?
In both jobs,
"how can I solve those worries in the way the other person desires"
My joy
In both jobs, my joy doubles instantly when "results are achieved"!!!
Achieving results... means the moment the other person's heart relaxes.
Whether it's cosmetic procedures, counseling,
or a session, I believe it is more important that the person's feelings are lightened in the way they desire at that moment than what the effects or results are.
"Oh, I'm glad I was able to pour out all my worries to this person and have them treat me so carefully."
"I'm glad I was able to bring out worries I couldn't even tell anyone else to this person."
This moment is my greatest joy and happiness.
Of course, the subsequent results are also important, so I provide follow-up
as needed.
I don't leave them behind, and I face problems together with them
carefully whenever they arise.
I wanted proof that I was loved
Why do I do things like this?
Because that's what I wanted someone to do for me...
I experienced symptoms of depression over seven years ago.
Back then, I was in no state to receive counseling.
If someone had asked me what my worries were, I probably wouldn't have even known what I was worried about... but I understand now.
"I wanted proof that I was loved."
You are loved, you are not alone, it's okay to be just as you are right now...
I wanted to be accepted for who I am just like that.
That is why I decided I wanted to be able to stand by others at any time.
Beyond my own happiness, there was someone else's happiness
There is something I have realized through my work as a cosmetic dermatologist and counselor.
It is that...
someone else's happiness always lies beyond my own happiness
I suspect this is likely true for any job.
I stand by someone's worries and listen to them carefully.
When I see the expression on their face as I untie the knots in their heart and set them free, it transforms into my own happiness.
And, the person whose heart I helped untie and set free also feels their heart lighten, and their reality begins to change in an instant as if their worries never existed, which then transforms into their own happiness.
However, it was not me who untied the knots in their heart; in fact, the person themselves untied them.
I only taught them how to untie the knots in their heart.
That is my way of doing things, and perhaps that is what is called a "talent"... or so I think.
However, from now on, I would also like to see the new talents sleeping within me.
I am currently not active as a subconscious counselor.
The feedback I received from clients after counseling is the greatest gift to me🌙
