Weekly Short-Short Note | Ito-Okashi Writer
I am eating natto as a snack, but where exactly is the line drawn?
My colleague, Mr. Aritane Mutane, visited me and said, "Natto is a side dish, not something you eat as a snack." He further added, "If natto falls onto your manuscript paper, the pages will stick together, and the story will end up fragmented."
I swear I do not eat natto while I am writing. While writing, I mainly eat dry snacks like potato chips. If these fall onto the manuscript paper, I can just brush them off with my hand.
Come to think of it, if you touch a game controller with hands covered in potato chip grease, it gets slimy, and the next person to use it will be grossed out. My older brother was like that. I couldn't forgive my brother's insensitive nature, so I cut ties with him.
I wonder if my brother is doing well. That said, I am just a humble writer, so I wouldn't be able to support him anyway.
I thought about such things while stretching out the strings of natto.
"What is this essay? Are you writing this while eating potato chips? I did think there were oil stains on the manuscript. Please stop writing while you eat. Ah. This is rejected."
Time to rewrite.
