Weekly Short-Short Note | Takopa Gymnastics (One-Line Short-Short)
When I woke up, I found myself in a space covered in iron plates with hemispherical indentations at regular intervals. Remembering that I had drunk too much at a takoyaki party last night and fallen asleep right there, I realized, 'Aha, this must be a giant takoyaki plate.' The indentations were filled with milky dashi broth, and I had woken up inside one. If things had gone poorly, I could have drowned, and I felt like demanding to see the person in charge about the safety management system here. However, there was no one around, and as I fumed about who I should vent these feelings to, I started singing, 'What could this feeling be~,' but as the dashi broth reached a comfortable temperature, the song changed to 'What a nice bath~' before I knew it. I suspected the temperature might keep rising, so I touched the iron plate to test it and found it was piping hot. 'Hey, hey, hey! If I had stayed in the dashi, I would have ended up a boiled octopus!' I grumbled as I climbed out of the broth. It was incredibly hot, and no matter how far I went, it was all iron plate with no hope of rescue, so I sadly stood on my tiptoes and had no choice but to flail my eight legs around like I was doing gymnastics.
