Therapy Dog in the Town of Note. [Librarian Edition] Warm and cozy.
The library today
During the mid-morning break, the library is overflowing with second graders.
"Teacher!"
"Look!"
"Teacher, where are you?"
Even in a small library, it seems they can't
find me that easily.
Are there too many people?
They bring their self-study notebooks to explain their summaries on the open pages,
or bring in homemade squishies.
I'm so grateful.
And they even came up with puns for me!
I'm so happy.
I'll introduce them all at once.
Here are the puns from O-san, a second grader.
Pun: Chicks basking in the sun

How cute.
Next is a piece by K-san, a second grader.
The book I read aloud,
"There's Summer Inside the Donut"
apparently served as inspiration for this.
Pun: There is a loquat in Lake Biwa

Their self-study is really paying off!
Hmm?
What is that character saying "It's delicious!"?
Let me think about that for a moment.
Third person.
This is a piece by Y-san, a second grader.
She said she came up with it while eating dinner.
That's important, isn't it?
It's proof of a flexible mind.
I've heard that authors also say,
"It just popped into my head out of nowhere."
Pun: Saury, thank you for the meal

Your way of eating fish is perfect too!
I love this image.
There are many books of puns, but
they managed to come up with these on their own.
Well done!
I discovered that puns, just like essays and poems,
reveal the heart of the author.
The three who came up with these puns
are elegant, smart, and modest,
yet they also possess a sense of humor.
To be able to create such heartwarming puns,
I'm envious.
And, although I am still a work in progress,
I will add an image for those friends.
Thank you all so much.
May the elementary school library also be filled with warm hearts!
Thank you very much for reading my article today.
