Got Soba and a Tenugui at Moka Station!
The weather today felt just like spring. It was so pleasant that I decided to go to my local Moka Station for a meal and some shopping.

When you think of Moka Station, you think of steam locomotives! Unfortunately, the SL that runs from Shimodate Station to Motegi Station is currently out of service for repairs, but you can still see an SL running a short distance at the SL Kyurokukan adjacent to Moka Station.
However, I didn't come to see the SL today, I came to eat, so I skipped the SL Kyurokukan. My destination was the standing soba shop inside Moka Station.

Yes, this is the Moka Station standing soba shop, "Shiryu." It's a box-like structure next to the station ticket gate that looks like a Char-custom mobile armor. This is the top-tier soba shop frequented by the citizens of Moka.

They offer freshly fried croquettes and a wide variety of limited-edition items. However, my order is always the same—I never stray!
My order is always the "Kakiage Soba." By the way, they start frying the kakiage the moment you place your order. There is absolutely no pre-made food.

It arrived in 3 or 4 minutes! That's a bit long for a station standing soba shop, but well, there aren't many people using the Moka Railway who are in such a hurry, so it's not a problem. I'm more grateful that the kakiage is freshly fried.
Now, time to enjoy this bowl made with the owner's heart and soul.

Mmm! It's delicious as always! I think this is quite authentic for a station standing soba shop. The noodles are firm, and they go very well with the light soup.
I'm very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
Now, the other purpose of today was "shopping." What did I come to buy? This!

It's the "SL Tenugui" sold at the SL Kyurokukan. Western handkerchiefs and towels are fine for wiping sweat, but I'm definitely a "tenugui" person. You can take it out quickly to wipe your sweat or hands, and it dries in no time, making it very easy to use. I don't need microfiber.
It was a warm and very satisfying Sunday.
