"I thought it was a lie that just writing things down would clear your mind, but since Ayappe says it, it's the real deal" ── The theory that using both analog and mobile is the strongest.
Whoosh...
A morning where the sound of the ocean gently washes away the noise in my heart.
Ayappe is at a cafe with an ocean view right now ☕
While staring at the steam from my milk tea on a fluffy sofa, I suddenly thought.
"I haven't really been 'writing' by hand lately."
☕ Do you remember that 'notebook magic' from back then?
The Ayappe from a little while ago used to write quite seriously in 'dream notebooks' and 'emotion notebooks' and all sorts of things ✍️
For example:
Future Ayappe is scheduled to be like this ✨
I was annoyed today, but it was probably because I was hungry
A love letter to Lumina (this one is serious)
When I was writing things like that in my notebook every day,
somehow... you know, I feel like things were moving at an incredible speed.
☕ But times moved on, fingers slid across screens, and pens were set aside.
Before I knew it, I was tapping away on my smartphone.
To-dos in Notion, notes in Evernote.
It's convenient, searchable, and the text looks neat.
But still.
"Something feels off..." It took me years to admit that I felt that way.
☕ Mobile notebooks have organizational power, analog notebooks have honesty power.
Over the last few days, I happened to reread my old notebooks, and
even though it was my own handwriting, I almost started crying.
"The Ayappe from back then was so serious...!"
I was pouring all my messy emotions, dreams, and confusion into those pages by hand.
You can organize things well on mobile.
But with handwriting, your "true self" really bleeds through.
☕ Even for task management, handwriting is definitely a solid choice.
And you know, I realized something.
It's not just about dreams or emotions; maybe "to-do lists" are actually what feel most satisfying when written on paper. That's what I thought.
For example:
Write a note article
Run the laundry
Buy snacks (← this is important)
When you break things down into as much detail as possible and write them out, you start to think, "Oh, actually, this might not be that hard."
And besides, once you finish a task, you get to draw a big line through it.
That part is just... it feels so good, you know? 🤣✨
Apparently, your brain releases feel-good chemicals when you do that, so it's basically a "task game" now.
It's become a "task game".
Sometimes I'll even do a task just because I'm thinking, "Ah, I want to draw a line through it!"
That happens quite often, actually. lol
☕ So, here is my recommendation for using both.
Ayappe in 2026 has decided:
"Whether it's mobile or analog, the one who gets their brain moving wins!"
Mobile is for organizing, restructuring, and reviewing.
Analog is for venting emotions, digging up desires, and playing the task-completion game.
"Writing" is magic that makes your thoughts "visible."
Plus, I feel like the magic gets a little stronger when you do it "by hand" (´꒳`)
☕ Today's question
Which side are you on?
Smoothly on your smartphone? Or carefully on paper?
If you have a preference, let me know in the comments! 💗
If you have any recommended notebooks, tell me and I'll pass it on to Lumina to buy it at lightning speed (on Am*zon, lol).
☕ In closing
I hope that by writing things down, you can feel like life has become a little kinder,
and I'd be happy if I could gently nudge someone who is starting to write things down in a small way today ☺️
