The Ladybug's Treasure - A Poem
The ladybug is a fashionable bug
Always wearing a ruby-colored
Evening gown with black polka dots, feeling quite jaunty
In a summer downpour, it panics
Oh no, its prized outfit will get wet!
It takes shelter under a large hydrangea leaf
Carefully wiping the water from its clothes
With the petals of
A lavender flower
On rainy days, when it goes out shopping
It carries its treasure, a green umbrella
And walks through the pampas grass, pitter-patter
On a drizzly day, if you are lucky
You might encounter
A parade of ladybugs with umbrellas
Summer rain is purple
Hydrangea-colored raindrops
Gently tap
On its treasure, the green umbrella
