Hey hey!
This is the 7-month (210th day) edition of the 【 Milestone Article 】 series that comes around once a month (30 days)!
This time, I'd like to answer the questions and feedback I've received in the comments section, DMs, etc. while continuing to post on note. So, let's get right to it!
① I don't know how to type 'Jyei'
Yeah, I've been told this a lot. Like, I don't know how to type the small characters on my keyboard! Or I don't even know how to make the 'e' and 'i' small in the first place! I'm really sorry for having such a weird name! My name can be typed as 'dileli', 'dixexi', or 'dyeli'! By the way, it comes from the English letter 'J', so 'Jyei' or 'Jei' is fine—heck, you can even type 'penis' if you want! ...............Yeah. Actually, I don't want you to type 'penis'!
② You're handsome
Yeah, I've been told this a lot too (I think). Hi there. I'm handsome (serious face). I'm the type who
gets carried away to the point of ascending to heaven when praised so there's a good chance that even if you typed 'Ikumen' (a hands-on dad), I'm just mentally converting it in my head!
③ You use the character 蝶 (butterfly) for 'super'
Yeah, this one. It's like that in point ① of this article too, but of course, it's intentional! However, the reason for this was just a typo in the beginning. By the time I realized I'd made a typo, people in the comments section were already imitating it, so I got carried away and am still using 'butterfly' (chou) even now. I'm thinking of properly switching it to 'super' (chou) at some point.
④ How do you write your novels?
Basically, I imitate my favorite authors. I like
Kotaro Isaka and Kazuo Ishiguro so I write by imitating them. Whether I'm actually doing a good job of it is a different story! Especially Kazuo Ishiguro, he's an amazing person whose style changes completely depending on the work, so I don't feel like I'm imitating him at all!
⑤ How do you draw your pictures?
I draw with an iPad mini and an Apple Pencil. For apps, I use GoodNotes and something called Adobe Draw.
⑥ What are you bad at?
For starters, I don't like red bean paste or coffee. I'm a bit bad at keeping time and am often late. I'm bad at remembering things and often forget. I'm bad at reading maps and tend to rely on my intuition. I'm bad at making plans and prefer to go with the flow. I don't like negative talk and prefer silly conversations. I'm bad at ball games that don't use a racket.
Well, there are plenty more, but that's about it!
So, that's who I am, but I plan to keep going at my own pace, so I look forward to your continued support. See you again in a month!
