If Mom becomes OO, passing the Eiken test is guaranteed!
I am Akiko Kamii, an English instructor
who makes English your best subject.
The other day, a student betrayed me.
Do you remember...?

This student is amazing, but
the mother is also amazing!!
For a child's Eiken test,
a certain amount of support from the mother
is necessary.
The mother's English ability is not questioned,
but checking answers,
making sure homework is done properly,
and confirming those kinds of things are necessary.
Of course, I create a system
where the child can study alone
as much as possible.
But still, a little bit of the mother's
support is needed.
If that support
is too much, it doesn't go well,
and if there is too little support,
it doesn't go well either...
I provide various advice on that
while they are taking the course.
But this student's mother
is truly excellent at providing support.
How should I put it,
like a cheerleader,
she is in the background
cheering her child on.
She never says things like
'I think this way!' or 'I saw a method on YouTube.'
She absolutely never says things like that.
(*This is something that happens often when teaching TOEIC)
Because she doesn't have strange knowledge,
she trusts me.
Because fully trusting the instructor is truly important.
If you doubt,
you will inevitably waver.
(*As an aside, when I choose an instructor for anything,
I judge based on whether I can trust the instructor rather than the price.)
Why is it important to trust?
That is because
trusting greatly influences the results.
The reason is here ↓

They listen to my advice
with an open mind
and properly
put it into practice at home.
This student herself
is incredibly stoic,
and both parent and child
have an extraordinary
ability to see things through!!!!
This student has so many extracurricular activities that
there is a risk that
she wouldn't have time for Eiken.
But because I saw the student's own motivation and
her mother's skillful support
during the Grade 5 and Grade 4 levels,
I was able to encourage her to go for it.
Grade 3 is quite tough for a fourth grader.
I can't just give the go-ahead easily.
Up until Grade 5 and Grade 4,
the tests were only
listening and reading,
but once you reach Grade 3,
English composition and an interview are added,
so the hurdle gets higher again.
But it was a moment when I realized that
if a mother can become a cheerleader
and skillfully watch over them from the shadows,
they can pass no matter the situation.
When your child works seriously and
Mom becomes a cheerleader.
And if you follow my advice,
anyone can pass the Eiken test.
