My Grandfather and My Slow Walking Path
At the time when the morning light shines in softly, I am walking beside my grandfather again today.
My grandfather's steps are a little slow. So, I match his pace, walking along while sniffing the scent of the grass on the road. What comes through the end of the leash is the gentle touch of my grandfather.
"Alright, shall we go?"
I love this time when we start walking after he says that more than anything.
There is no need to rush. The green of the street trees, the sound of the passing wind, and the greetings with neighbors we meet from time to time. I share such modest scenery together with my grandfather.
Sometimes, when my grandfather stops, I look up at him and give a signal, asking, "What's wrong?" My grandfather smiles and pats my head.
I thought I was helping my grandfather with his walk, but in fact, it might be my grandfather who is supporting my feelings the most.
Let's take it easy today, too. My grandfather and my usual walking path.
