Kacchan says so. Please help her—A story about the 'God' inside my 6-year-old second daughter
While shopping at the supermarket, my 6-year-old second daughter said quietly.
'There is a God inside of me.'
For a moment, I was stunned.
But after that, a warm feeling spread through me.
It seems that something—not yet called 'ethics' or 'morals,' but certainly something like that—exists within her.
God lives inside my daughter's head; she looks a bit like my daughter, but has a gentler voice, and is always closing her eyes and putting her hands together.
Her name is 'Kacchan'.
Since she's a God, she's Kacchan. I was honestly surprised that she even had a name. Apparently, when her older sister is being scolded by Mom, Kacchan always tells my second daughter to be on her side.
In our house, we usually tell them to 'think with your own head'.
While taking into account what parents and friends say, in the end, I ask, 'What would you do if there were a God inside you?' Perhaps that's why she has come to think this way.
I have always thought that if God really exists, it must be within each person's heart. And if there is a devil, I think it must be human 'weakness.' Children sometimes remind us of the purity that adults have lost. That 'it' is named 'Kacchan' is just too adorable.
It has nothing to do with religion or race.
But I feel like God exists.
I felt like a part of that exists within my daughter, too.
That made me a little happy.
And—it was more religious than me, which made me laugh a little.
