"I wasn't the only one." Being read by someone saved me. Thank you 🥲
When I first started note,
it was closer to "I just want to let it all out"
rather than being read by someone.
—
The exhaustion of raising children,
my own lack of composure,
the vague feelings I couldn't put into words well.
—
If I didn't write,
my head would feel painful all the time.
—
So at first,
I didn't think I would be read this much.
—
But recently,
as I've received comments
and likes,
I've thought many times:
—
"Oh, I wasn't the only one."
—
That weekends are scary,
that even though I'm a parent, I want to run away,
that I don't understand the distance between my spouse and me.
—
Everyone
is living while carrying their own struggles.
—
On social media,
it's easy to only see strong people.
—
But note
feels truly human.
—
Emotions that aren't neatly organized,
worries that don't have answers yet,
things like that flow naturally here.
—
Reading those,
"Oh, this person is the same,"
I feel a little relieved.
—
Beyond just likes and numbers,
I've come to really love
"connecting emotionally with someone."
—
Through my writing,
someone feels a little relieved,
or conversely,
I am saved by someone else's writing.
—
Even though it's the internet,
it feels like it has real human warmth.
—
So lately,
rather than "writing well,"
I want to value "writing my true feelings."
—
Thank you so much
for reading.
—
I'm sure from here on out,
I'll get lost,
waver,
and have days where I suddenly feel down. Haha
—
But,
I want to write about
that whole process as well.
I look forward to your continued support 🌱
