I Realized What My Prayer Was: Mind and Body Renovation, Reverse Aging
It has been over 15 years since I was forced to retire from my active career as a first-class architect due to persistent menopausal and depressive symptoms.
While struggling, I encountered a posture stretch that aligns the body from the spine. It is thanks to this stretch that I, someone with no athletic experience, was able to complete four full marathons.
As we head toward the era of the 100-year life, I now run a stretch and chiropractic clinic in Shimokitazawa as a professional in mind and body renovation.
Just like the design of a stable building, the method I created from my experience—which involves properly placing the heavy head on the spine and firmly grounding one's center of gravity—can be done by anyone, aligns a neutral posture in one minute, and stabilizes both mind and body.
Every program begins with this body position.
The programs include 'Smile Stretch' for tongue activity, physical strength enhancement, and fatigue recovery; 'Active Listening' for improving human relationships; and 'Zero-Second Thinking' for organizing thoughts and emotions.
The first thing we do is start with the A4 memo writing method from Yuji Akaba's book 'Zero-Second Thinking' to establish habits and behavioral changes for improving quality of life.
Improving quality of life can be traced back to philosophical pursuits, such as Socrates' statement, 'The most important thing is not just to live, but to live well.'.
I will talk about the Zero-Second Thinking A4 memo writing method next time.
May you have a day where you can smile at yourself again today.
