Aiming for a Harvest!?
Ta-da!

I'm regrowing a pineapple from its top.
Yes, I've been eating a lot of them.
For some reason, Taiwanese pineapples are cheap at the co-op this year. I cut up the pineapples I buy right away, put them in storage bags, and put them in the freezer. I've been eating them little by little.

The roots have started to grow.
I plan to plant it in soil once the roots grow a bit more, but I always end up letting it rot before that happens. It must be because it's hot indoors.
I just thought of something while writing this.
What if I skip the hydroponic rooting process and plant it directly in soil? Like when propagating succulents, if I let the cut end dry out and then plant it in clean soil, I feel like it might actually work this time.
Strike while the iron is hot—I'm going to the co-op to buy a pineapple right now!
