Dogs wear their colors openly
Soaking up the morning light just as it is
Painting with their tails, saying, "Today is a fun color too!"
On the path
They drop vibrant yellows and warm oranges
One by one

Cats wear their colors quietly
While swaying their whiskers in the shadows
As if whispering, "Well... it's not that I like it or anything"
They tuck soft grays and deep indigos
Gently into their hearts
(But when Mom approaches, only their eyes brighten a little)
The dog says

"Colors, you see, make the world wider"
The cat replies
"Colors, you see, are things that gently illuminate the depths of the heart"
The dog scatters colors into the outside world

The cat lights up colors in the inner world
While wearing their colors in different ways
Under the same roof
The two of them create a palette of life
And people realize

That the dog's color is made of "courage to move forward"
And the cat's color is made of "kindness of being by one's side"

Into our daily lives
