It was growing secretly in the garden, planted by who knows who😆 And since it's grown this big, I guess it's for seeds now?

It's probably too tough to eat.

It looks like it would be perfect to cut in half and use as a vegetable stamp.

In my childhood, I never even thought about how okra grows.

I only knew the version you see at the supermarket, the one that's just the edible part inside a net.

When my grandmother was alive, she used to rent a field as a hobby and grow various vegetables.

I don't remember the seasons, but what I do remember are daikon radishes, snap peas, and okra🫛✨️

Wow, so okra fruits grow one by one like this?

Besides, they said that if you think they're ready to eat, you have to harvest them right away, or they'll get tough if you just leave them for a little while.

Come to think of it, I used to go to the field almost every morning during okra season.

That's what I remembered.

I used to wash the mud off the radishes I pulled from the field using the nearby running water before bringing them home.

And I would string snap peas with her.

I had completely forgotten, even though I enjoyed it so much back then.

Thanks to finding this okra today, I was able to bring back memories of my grandmother, and I feel like I got a real treat out of it♥
