Don't Rush Through Life!
Thank you for always reading ๐ท
I resigned from the job I started after changing careers in less than a year.
Mid-April.
I used up all my paid leave and
chose to do nothing for the entire month of May.
I will stop rushing to do things.
I listened honestly to the voices of my heart and body.
First, I need to heal my body.
They say your body is your greatest asset, and I truly realized that is the case.
The body is honest.
I even felt pain just trying to get up.
My back, my lower back, my neck.
The pain eased before I knew it.
My broken rib still hurts.
It hurts, but because I have known this pain,
I feel like I can take better care of myself.
This past month has been a month just for me.
Perhaps it was the first time I had a month that belonged to no one else.
I spent it just drifting.
I simply surrendered myself to the passing time.
One day ends, and a new day begins.
A few months ago,
I wanted tomorrow not to come
so badly.
Now, I am able to accept each new day.
I feel like I am healing little by little.
Something that was broken is mending, bit by bit.
I still can't always find what makes me 'me',
but I have started to see what I want to do.
I will try returning to the children once more.
At the end of May, I started moving again.
