[Self-Introduction] Beyond the nights I cried over rejection emails. I was a housewife at a beef bowl restaurant.
Late 30s.
When I got divorced, my life was reset once.
All I had left was the title of "full-time housewife."
I had no skills to enter the workforce and no confidence.
I couldn't make a living just working part-time at a beef bowl restaurant.
For my daughter's sake, I had to find a job somehow.
I started job hunting with that thought, but
all I received were emails saying, "We wish you success in your future endeavors."
As someone with an HSP temperament, I took those words more heavily than necessary.
There were days I cried a little while looking at my smartphone on the train station platform at night.
Even so, life goes on.
I couldn't become a full-time employee,
and spent three years working as a temporary employee.
After work, I continued studying for the real estate notary exam little by little.
I couldn't afford to go to a prep school,
so I remember taking the plunge and buying a reference book for my birthday.
A real estate notary book for my birthday—
I think I really did my best back then ☺️
A few years have passed since then.
Now I work as a real estate notary,
and my annual income has exceeded 5 million yen.
And recently, although it's used,
I bought a condo in my own name.
When I turned the key for the first time,
I thought, "Oh, I made it this far on my own."
Finally
Divorced in my late 30s.
I didn't become a full-time employee until I was 42.
It might have been a long way around.
But now, I work as a real estate notary,
live in my own condo,
and lead a peaceful daily life.
I have a boyfriend,
and my daughter, who was small back then, is now 21.
I think that life,
is something you can actually start over more than you think.
In this note,
✔ Rebuilding a career from your late 30s
✔ Stories about jobs I could do even with an HSP temperament
✔ The reality of studying for the real estate notary exam and changing jobs
✔ Reading and money matters
✔ And, romance in your 40s
I intend to write about these things
in plain, unadorned words.
I would be happy if it serves as a reference
for those who are also taking a bit of a detour 🍀

📖 I've compiled my restart series 📖
