About my teeth

Teeth leave a stronger impression on people than eyes

I am not particularly beautiful, nor am I tall, but
whenever I go out to eat, people always tell me, "You're beautiful" or "You're cute."
Why would they say such things to someone like me, with my tiny eyes and button nose?

Of course, I know it's just flattery.
But I think one reason they have such a good impression of me, enough to offer flattery, is my smile.

My front teeth are huge

Yes, my front teeth are huge.
When I was a child, my teeth didn't fit in my jaw, and I had two truly beast-like fangs,
and on top of that, my right front tooth was sticking out in front.
It was at a level where I needed to hydrate as a warm-up just to try to close my mouth outside in midwinter.
My mother used to look at me with such a stern face.
(That is not a face you show your child lol)
One day, without knowing anything, I was taken to an orthodontist after being told, "I've been referred, so we're going."

Thinking about it now, there really was no explanation, Mom lol

But the doctor I was referred to was a very good one, and he used various methods to try to fit these ridiculously large teeth into place.

However, I (my jaw and teeth) was not easy to deal with.
I wore retainers to widen my jaw, but in the end, my jawbone didn't budge an inch. Eventually, I ended up having the teeth next to my fangs extracted.
In total, it took about two years plus a year of retainers, but I enjoyed it by using flashy colors for the rubber bands that held the wires in place.
(I love the doctor who got me gold rubber bands for my coming-of-age ceremony!)

Still, the day I tightened the wires and the day after were truly hell. I'm glad I did my best.

Keep your teeth even after you die.

Teeth are a form of beauty; they are not built in a day.

Honestly, I think more money was spent on these teeth than on my university education.
As I mentioned at the beginning, they have become part of my identity.

It's inevitable that wrinkles will form on my skin and my body will decline.
But I believe that teeth are a beauty you can keep until you die if you take proper care of them.
However, daily care is super important! This is truly, beauty is not built in a day.

I live alone, but I usually have about five types of toothbrushes lined up on my bathroom vanity lol

Bonus: Getting praised at the dentist boosts my self-esteem

To everyone tired from work every day.
Let's brush and floss properly every day and go for regular checkups.
If you brush your teeth properly, you will be praised a lot.
It's rare to be praised this much as an adult!
Just by brushing your teeth properly, you get praised.
