[Tough! Invincible! Strongest!] Thorough explanation of the Blue-Eyes deck with new Structure Deck cards [MD implementation]
Nice to meet you. I am BTB Solution (my icon is Maiden with Eyes of Blue).
I have been using this archetype for about 11 years since I started Yu-Gi-Oh! with Saga of Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
In this article, I will explain the Blue-Eyes deck that has been significantly strengthened by The Light of Eyes of Blue. I am focusing on the competitive environment.
It is long, so please read it while using the table of contents as appropriate.
I will use plain style for the main text, please excuse me.
1. Theme Introduction
The modern Blue-Eyes deck is a deck that sets up powerful disruptions such as Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, while also placing the permanent resource known as The True Light.

Thanks to the new cards, we have obtained a starter that can search for each other, so the ability to play through hand traps has also improved significantly. Also, since you can stop with just Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon while performing additional disruptions with Spells/Traps and the searched Effect Veiler, it is a deck that handles Maxx
C and Mulcharmy Fuwaross quite well. From the above points, it can be said that this is a deck with the performance to compete sufficiently in the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! environment.
2. Build covered in this article

I adopted PSY-Framegear Gamma in the main deck to care for Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring against Prayer with Eyes of Blue. It is a build with 14 starters + Pots and 14 hand traps.
Regarding the adoption of Ultimate Fusion
Ultimate Fusion is a very powerful monster, but drawing the pieces for the gimmick to bring it out lowers the quality of your hand. Also, even if you go to the trouble of gathering the parts, it is easily stopped by a single copy of Spirit of the Fall of Avalon, so I have decided not to include it this time.

Number of Blue-Eyes monsters adopted
When adopting Bingo Machine, Go!!!, the number of Blue-Eyes monsters adopted should be 3 in total is my thinking. The reason is that in a hand like Bingo Machine, Go!!! + Prayer with Eyes of Blue, you can guarantee access to a Blue-Eyes monster with Bingo Machine and use it as a cost (of course, it is vulnerable to Droll & Lock Bird).
Since Blue-Eyes monsters in the Graveyard (and hand) can be easily Special Summoned by Spirit with Eyes of Blue, adopting 3 is recommended to play through hand traps.
As for the breakdown of the 3, in this article, I adopt 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragon and 1 Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon, taking versatility into account. However, since the strongest card for the cost of Prayer with Eyes of Blue is Blue-Eyes White Dragon, I also think a romantic build with 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragon is strong.
Conversely, if you do not adopt Bingo Machine, Go!!!, you should minimize the number of Blue-Eyes monsters adopted. In the Piri Reis Map adoption type described later, I have adopted 1 Blue-Eyes White Dragon and 1 Jet Dragon. I have adopted 2 copies of Saga of Blue-Eyes White Dragon so that they can be recovered even if they are banished.
MD Build (Updated 2025/03/04)
I adopted Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon to bring out Baronne de Fleur from Gamma on my own turn.
Other than that, the way to play is the same as OCG.

3. Introduction of adopted cards
Main Deck Section

A core card of the deck. I run 2 copies because if they are all banished, the game is over.
It is also the strongest card to use as a cost for Prayer with Eyes of Blue.

I run one copy because its destruction immunity is useful. You can access it via the third effect of Neo Kaiser Sea Horse or the second effect of Sage with Eyes of Blue. It is also worth remembering that you can sometimes use Baronne to destroy your own card to revive it.

Since it is a starter, I naturally run 3 copies.
You can access the permanent resource True Light with its first effect, and this card itself becomes a permanent resource as material via its second effect. To make use of its third effect, you should actively target it with the second effect of Mausoleum of White, Neo Kaiser Sea Horse, or Sage with Eyes of Blue.

I run 3 copies as it is the strongest starter. It is really great that the first effect can be used twice per turn.
I also often use the play of targeting Maiden with Eyes of Blue with its second effect to trigger Maiden's third effect.

As a 1-card starter, it is inferior to Sage with Eyes of Blue and Maiden with Eyes of Blue in terms of handling Maxx "C", but it shows its true value as a combo starter.
The play of using the second effect to turn a Level 1 tuner into a Level 2 to make Baronne is extremely important for game management.
It is mediocre as a 1-card starter, so I run 2 copies.

The strongest card.
I run it to negate Ash Blossom against Prayer with Eyes of Blue.
Not only that, it is a god-tier card that can protect against all kinds of hand traps, such as Maxx "C" or Mulcharmy Purulia against Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon, Ghost Ogre against True Light, or Droll & Lock Bird against Bingo Machine, Go!!!
It is also excellent as a Level 2 tuner for Baronne.
It is a limited card, so I run 1 copy.

Tier 1 of cards you don't want to draw.
Actively send it to the Graveyard with Mausoleum of White.

Ash Blossom and Maxx "C" are the strongest, so I run 3 copies.

It is not just a simple hand trap, but a main disruption tool for this deck that can be searched by Sage and Prayer.
The more you have in the deck, the stronger it is.
If you draw a hand like two Sages and a Maiden, the number of copies of this card determines your number of disruptions.
It is also excellent as material for Spirit with Eyes of Blue.
I currently run 2, but I am considering moving to 3.

I use the strongest search effect of the first effect to access the engine.
To prevent your disruptions from being stripped away by Infinite Impermanence, etc., actively send True Ultimate Dragon to the Graveyard with the second effect.
If you use the second effect to turn a Blue-Eyes White Dragon equipped with Fusion into a Tyrant Dragon, and then revive it with True Light, you can easily increase your damage output.

A card that can Special Summon a Blue-Eyes by itself. It can also be summoned from a banished state.
Since you can only summon Dragon-type monsters from the Extra Deck after using this card, you should summon Baronne and others first. I run 1 copy because it is not a starter and there are plenty of other ways to supply Blue-Eyes.

I run 3 copies as a starter.
I chose this over Piri Reis Map to increase the chances of using PSY-Framegear Gamma.
There are mainly 3 patterns of cards to reveal:
1. Reveal 3 copies of the starter Prayer with Eyes of Blue
2. Reveal 3 Blue-Eyes monsters for cost
3. Pick up utility cards like Jet, Tyrant Dragon, or Ultimate Fusion
It is terrible against Droll & Lock Bird, but I have accepted that because Droll & Lock Bird, which has anti-synergy, has decreased slightly due to the popularity of Mulcharmy Purulia and Fiend's Mirror.

The additional Normal Summon effect of the first effect is truly great. This card handles the Nibiru protection mentioned later.
For the second effect, I would like to target Maiden if possible, but you can accept just sending Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the Graveyard to trigger the third effect of Spirit with Eyes of Blue.

As a going-first card, I use it to perform a Fusion Summon using the Blue-Eyes White Dragon revived by True Light during the opponent's turn to destroy cards on the opponent's field.
As a going-second card, I am paying attention to it as a card that can destroy a lone Bagooska from Raizeol using the engine.
It is a card that hits the spot, such as for resource recovery or as a way to escape Called by the Grave against Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon.

I run the full set of Called by the Grave because I want to protect Prayer with Eyes of Blue from Ash Blossom.

I adopted this by utilizing the Extra Deck slots created by not running Dragon Master Magia. It searches for starters, Called by the Grave, or trap cards. Basically, I use 3 free slots in the Extra Deck as cost.

It is a permanent resource for Blue-Eyes and at the same time a weakness of this deck.
I want to actively use the Graveyard effect of Prayer with Eyes of Blue to access it from my second turn onwards.
Unlike Fire King Island, it is a nice point that the self-destruct effect does not trigger when banished.
However, there is no way to recover it if it is banished. I am conscious of using Jet Dragon to protect it from destruction.

I run 3 copies because it is a strong hand trap after all, and to use the destruction effect of Holy Knight's Shattering.
The play of using a trap hand trap when going second and then recovering it with Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is extremely powerful.

I am paying attention to this as a countermeasure against Raizeol Duodrive, the main card of the top-tier Raizeol deck. I rate it highly because the Raizeol side cannot protect against this card, but I run 2 copies because of the once-per-turn restriction.
The play of using this card when going second and then recovering it with Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon is extremely powerful. Be aware that you will not be able to use Ash Blossom, S:P Little Knight, or Bystials after siding.
Extra Deck Section

The core of this deck
It's good to stop Demon Smith or Poplar with (1)
It's good to stop Gimmick Puppet - Bloody Doll or Pendulum with (2)
It's also good to bring out strong monsters with (3)
The strongest card
Note that the (3) effect cannot be used if it was Special Summoned by reviving Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon, etc.
In that case, you should use it as material for Baronne.

The disruption Blue-Eyes players have been waiting for that can be brought out from Spirit Dragon.
The (1) effect can protect against a second Spirit Dragon or Called by the Grave used on hand traps.
Note that the (2) effect only responds to field effects and cannot destroy.
Note that the Spirit Dragon revived by the (3) effect cannot use its transformation effect. By equipping this card with the graveyard effect of Prayer with Eyes of Blue and destroying it with Baronne, you can easily prepare three 3000 ATK monsters.
Adopted 2 copies, considering it self-destructs when brought out by Spirit Dragon.
The following are adopted as 1 copy.

The Link-1 Blue-Eyes players have been waiting for
You can access Mausoleum of White with the (1) effect, and if you have two Sages with Eyes of Blue in hand, you can Link Summon this card to push through even if the first one is negated.
Note that Maiden with Eyes of Blue cannot be revived with the (2) effect.
With the (3) effect, you can utilize a Blue-Eyes drawn into your hand without it becoming a dead card. This gives meaning to the play of fetching Blue-Eyes with Bingo Machine and using it as a cost for Prayer.
I'm only running 1 copy due to lack of space, but I'm considering a second.

Access this card from Spirit Dragon and use the (2) effect targeting Tyrant Dragon to make Cosmic Blazar Dragon. Due to its extremely loose material requirements, it can be Normal Summoned using a Primal Being Token + a Level 1 Tuner. Use this to play through Nibiru.

The strongest disruption.
It is no exaggeration to say that if you don't die on the turn you use this card, you are guaranteed to win. An alternative to Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon. While the other is easier to use, this one has far higher disruption performance.

The Synchro Monster to use after Spirit Dragon.
Can be brought out with:
Spirit Dragon + Level 1 Tuner,
Blue-Eyes + Level 2 Tuner (whose level was increased by Neo Kaiser),
Neo Kaiser + Bystial
The (1) effect is one of the few board-clearing tools in this deck. Keep in mind that you can trigger Jet Dragon with this effect.
The (2) effect is a versatile negation that hits the spots this deck struggles with, such as Nibiru protection.
If you revive Spirit Dragon with the (3) effect and Synchro Summon this card again using the Maiden revived by Blue-Eyes White Dragon as material, you have completed a perpetual motion machine.

A valuable disruption that can be brought out under Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. It's also good that you can access your starters, Neo Kaiser or Magnamhut, with the (2) effect. If hit by Shifter, I often rely on Spheres.

30% of this deck's strength is thanks to this guy.
Brought out via its own Special Summon effect, Ultimate Fusion, or the (2) effect of Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon.
The (1) effect is something everyone tends to forget (I forgot it too...)
The (2) effect is powerful and useful for board control in this deck, which struggles to put many bodies on the field.
The (3) effect is the strongest, allowing you to recover trap hand traps when going second, or divine traps when going first.
Since it doesn't have a hard once-per-turn, running 2 copies is an option.

A card you should actively equip with the graveyard effect of Prayer with Eyes of Blue to avoid getting hit by a sloppy Infinite Impermanence. Also used as material for Tyrant.

Free slot (1)
Adopted for Little Knight.
Keep in mind that you can sometimes use the (2) effect to perform a sacrifice escape with Sage with Eyes of Blue.

Free slot (2)
(1) is a valuable banish effect for this deck, which lacks removal methods.
(2) might be useful for things like Nibiru protection.

Free slot (3)
Adopted for backrow removal. The hand cost is heavy. Needs consideration.
Side Deck Section

Disruption and securing a starter when going second. Search for Neo Kaiser Seahorse with Magnamhut, then aim to make Baronne with 6+4 on the next turn to peel off the opponent's continuous cards after side-decking. By the time Baronne lands, it's the second summon/special summon, allowing you to slip past Summon Limit.

Link value for going second, material for Baronne. I want to deal with cards like Bagooska with the (2) effect. If I have leftovers, I turn them into Spheres or something.

Adopted 3 copies as the 4th-6th copies of Maxx "C". Since it cannot be used as a going-first card due to the need to place True Light on the field, it is adopted in the side. If you don't have True Light, you can use the effect in response to the release of a lone Spirit Dragon.

Adopted as a 2-of because it is the strongest depending on the combination when going second.
Remember the play of chaining 1 Spirit Dragon and chaining 2 Nibiru to clear the board while bringing out Ultimate Spirit Dragon.

Adopted as a bonus since Gamma is included.
It's strong in one way or another.
Adopted as a 1-of because there is no space.

Adopted as a casually strong removal. Include it against Meta Beat, Runick, and Voiceless Voice matchups.

Adopted as a 1-of to play around Nibiru when side-decking for the first turn. See the Nibiru play-around section for details.

Since continuous effects can also hinder yourself, I adopted Divine Trap which does its job with just one card.
I believe the greatest strength of this deck is being able to reuse Divine Trap with Tyrant.

You can set up Spirit Dragon even without a hand cost.
This is a recommended combo when the other 4 cards in your hand are hand traps or traps (especially after side-decking for the first turn).

5. Regarding Maxx "C" and Fuwaross
When hit by Maxx "C" or Mulcharmy Fuwaross, compromise by having only Spirit Dragon as a monster disruption, limit special summons to 2 draws, and survive with the searched Veiler, Majesty with Eyes of Blue, or hand traps drawn naturally.
The following is a case where I survived Fuwaross with only 1 draw by special summoning from the graveyard with Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon.

6. Regarding Nibiru play-around combos
The build in this article accepts the risk of Nibiru in the main game. After side-decking, I include Synchro Rumble to create Crimson Dragon using the Primal Being Token + Tuner to perform a breakthrough combo.

By summoning Baronne before Prayer with Eyes of Blue, it also serves as protection against Ash Blossom for the Prayer.
7. Cards under consideration
I will update this as needed.

I am considering it because adopting it extends the first-turn combo by about a Baronne.
However, I have decided against it because it does not serve as a starter or a breakthrough card.

I am considering adopting this as a first-turn card as an alternative to Ultimate Fusion.
Unlike Ultimate Fusion, it has the advantages of being able to destroy two or more cards and being recoverable by Tyrant Dragon.
I am currently considering it for the side deck.
8. About side-decking
Going-first side-decking
I reduce hand traps and adopt Synchro Rumble for Nibiru protection and the Divine Trap as a going-first card.
The plan is to reuse the Divine Trap with Tyrant Dragon.

Going-second side-decking
This is mainly for side-decking against combo decks like Snake-Eye.
Whether to remove Ultimate Fusion or Jet Dragon depends on the matchup.
I count Magnamhut as a starter.

9. Piri Reis Map Blue-Eyes build
There is a card currently causing a stir in the Blue-Eyes community.

That card is "Piri Reis Map".
This card, which can access the strongest starter, Sage with Eyes of Blue, could be calledBonfire with Eyes of Blue. Here is a build centered around this.

It frees up more space than the PSY-Frame engine, resulting in a build with 15 starters and 15 hand traps. This build might become the mainstream in the future.
10. Conclusion
What did you think?
Since the Blue-Eyes builds and combos circulating in the world assume the use of Ultimate Fusion, I thought of combo examples like Nibiru protection on my own. I hope that further research will lead to the development of even more refined combos, builds, and plays.
If you found this article even slightly helpful, please share it. I hope this article reaches beginners and returning players, and that it helps make Yu-Gi-Oh! even more exciting.
Well then, I hope to see you again somewhere.
Good luck.
