My favorite show
Hakase-chan

I am always moved by it
It teaches me that
the feeling of 'liking' something
surpasses everything

Pure curiosity
and being moved
I think it's truly wonderful

There was a scene where
Hakase-chan's mother was moved to tears

Perhaps she was purely moved,
or maybe,
all the various feelings she had held until now
came overflowing out

The world of children
is quite severe

If you can study normally,
play sports normally,
and be the same as everyone else,
it's peaceful enough

No matter how talented you are,
if you are a little different from others,
you get labeled as 'weird',
and that label can hurt you

My eldest son
was exactly like a Hakase-chan

But,
he couldn't play sports normally,
play soccer during lunch break,
or play baseball,
he couldn't do those things

'Normal' is
a safety zone

Hakase-chan's mother,

I believe those were tears of
deep, deep joy, emotion, and
love

No matter how different you are from others,
each and every person
is wonderful, I think.

And,
the person who continues to believe in that child,

mother,
you are wonderful too
