A Night That Got Too Exciting - #WeeklyShortShortNote
"Let's put God on a day-night shift rotation."
My proposal for "God's Work-Style Reform," presented at the "Meeting" during the Month of the Gods, was highly acclaimed.
If things go well, I might even be able to aim for the "Best Practice Award."
God is a one-man operation.
Even God has days when he wants to sleep.
So, I inspected the human world.
They rotate work between "day shifts" and "night shifts."
Humans, not bad at all.
When I put out a call for a god to take the night shift, I immediately received one application.
After interviewing them, I saw they were overflowing with motivation, so I decided to hire them on the spot.
I receive reports from the Night God via "letters."
They are doing a pretty good job.
However, there was one problem.
They are... just a bit too overflowing with motivation.
A letter from one day
"I cleared away all the clouds covering the full moon!"
Well... that's fine, I suppose.
A letter from the next day
"I formed an idol group out of bell crickets!!"
What are you trying to do?
A letter from the day after that
"I made a guest appearance at a ghost concert! We reached 2nd place in the most exciting concert rankings!"
So it wasn't 1st place, then.
And today... the humans are feeling somewhat "fluffy."
What on earth did you do?
I checked the "letter from the night."
"It's a cross-dimensional measure to combat the declining birthrate!"
You're getting a bit too excited, aren't you?
I wrote a reply to the Night God.
"Show that to me as well."
(End)
What on earth did they do....
I'm so curious...
I wrote this for the "#WeeklyShortShortNote" project by Nikaka Tahara. The theme was"A letter from the night.".
In honor of Konishi Kinoko-san's return!
" #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout "
No... I really feel like asking what on earth we are talking about... you know.
