Moonlit Bedhead Styling (#WeeklyShortShortNote)

"How would you like your hair styled?"

It's a question I'm often asked at the salon, but today, I had made up my mind.
"Please. I have my second date after this."

I could tell the hairdresser was delighted by my self-disclosure.

"...Then, how about the 'bedhead' look that's popular lately?"
"Bedhead...?"
"Yes, you intentionally let just one part stick out a little; it's popular."

Why would I need to get 'bedhead' when I'm going to a salon? Besides, I'm meeting him at night.

Perhaps sensing my feelings, the hairdresser said,
"I think it would suit you."
"Huh...?"

"Sorry for being forward. You are a beautiful person, but you have an air of perfection that makes you seem unapproachable. If you add a little bit of effortless charm, you'll be even more attractive!"

The hairdresser's words struck a chord. People I've met until now have had a good first impression, but they gradually fade away, even though I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with me...

"I understand. Please, give me the 'bedhead' look."

That evening, after having dinner with him, we sat side-by-side on a park bench.
It was a night where the crescent moon was shining.

After being silent for a while, he opened his mouth.
"The way your hair is sticking out..."

I was startled. Is he going to mention the bedhead...?

"It looks just like tonight's crescent moon, and I really like it."
