The Feelings I Want to Convey

For two days in a row,
the train advertisement I looked up at from the seat I happened to sit in
was for my favorite
Karuizawa Kogen Church.

At the final station,
I stayed behind in the train car alone
to look closely at the advertisement...

The sound of the wind,
the sound of birds,
the sunlight.

I was drawn
into that world
and found myself taking a deep breath.

It is one of the places
I want to visit someday.

When I encountered this advertisement,
I was at a point where my mind and body felt like they were about to break.
Casual conversations with people were scary,
I felt like I didn't belong anywhere,
and the word hope
could not be found anywhere.
That was the kind of time it was.

I chose a seat in the corner of the train car,
and as I sat down,
I was drawn into that world.

My heart
was wrapped
in those warm words,
loosened,
and healed.

My eyes grew hot,
and I suddenly realized I was on a train,
so I hurriedly returned to the real world.

Several years have passed since then,
and by facing myself
and facing my heart,
I am moving forward little by little.
Now,

I spend my days
filled with light,
and filled with hope.

can deliver light
