Sinking in April
I am walking along the seashore.
I came here to gather voices.
The sea is dark and accepts nothing.
A dark sea—I think it is a symbol of fear.
Yet, I wish to go there.
Surely, there is something there that I can think of as "wanting to meet."
Wait for me.
I am coming there now.
……But, wait just a little longer.
Small voices flowing quietly
Fragments of thoughts that have not yet been picked up by anyone
I am just chasing after them
Touching them only to have them spill from my palms
I want to meet you
Perhaps I have only kept that word
Frozen deep within my heart all this time
Even if the voice that froze without reaching you
Is swept away by the waves
I still think that I want to meet you
Small voices flowing quietly
Those voices make me hallucinate that I am the only one in this world
Even if I gather them up, I cannot gather them all
I called the faintly remaining voices stars
The silence sinking to the bottom of the dark sea
Stars sleeping in the deep sea
The dark moon faintly visible from there
I know that moon
The stars quietly orbit the moon
A conversation between stars and the moon, a conversation between stars and stars
I would like to hear it too
So wait for me, voice of the moon
In order to hear that voice
I am sinking now
