Spring 2026: I managed to go cherry blossom viewing 🌸
The year 2023 when I somehow managed to make it out to the cherry blossom festival.
In 2024, on the way back from the hospital, I found a row of cherry trees and saw them from the car window. In 2025, also on the way back from the hospital, I saw them from the car window in the parking lot of a park where the cherry blossoms were blooming.
Since my autoimmune disease inevitably worsens between March and May, it can't be helped, but there is a part of me that wants to somehow clear the hurdle of "going cherry blossom viewing 🌸".
Again with the exaggeration...
#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
The day after I went cherry blossom viewing (night blossoms) with a group when I was 23, I was hospitalized for a month. It was a viral infection, but I was left with pharyngitis, my throat closed up, and I had to be kept alive with an IV drip. Ever since then, whenever this season comes around, my chronic immune disease inevitably worsens.
Spring 2026 🌸 has arrived
Usually, my health starts to decline from the end of February, but there were no signs of it worsening even after entering March. I'm hoping it might be thanks to the EM Gold I've been taking since the end of the year.
However... around the second week of March, my health started to deteriorate as usual.
Will I be able to go to Okinawa like this?
With that worry and
I guess it'll be cherry blossom viewing from inside the car again this year...
there was that disappointment.
For now, I was able to go to Okinawa, the big event of March, without any issues!
But from the day after I returned from Okinawa, the joints all over my body started to ache. At the same time, the cherry blossom blooming announcement 🌸 was made.
Ah, I guess I can't go cherry blossom viewing this year either...
That's what I thought.
On Sunday morning, the symptoms I had been suffering from for the past few days had eased a little.
Now's the time! Let's go cherry blossom viewing!!

The park had turned completely into spring while I was groaning and bedridden.

It wasn't in full bloom yet, but I was so happy that I could see them up close this year!

My body is still in pain and sluggish today, just as it was then, and it feels heavy again today.
But I was able to go cherry blossom viewing!
I resisted getting a wheelchair for a long time before I bought it, but thanks to it, my world, which was about to be closed off, is expanding once again.
I felt so grateful to Sebastian for expanding that world for me🌸
