OMO Tokyo Gotanda [Hoshino Resorts]
Sebas is a Hoshino Resorts fan.
As someone who likes the Marriott chain and is a Marriott Bonvoy member, I want to earn my own points wherever I go, but Sebas always looks for Hoshino properties. It is quite a peaceful tug-of-war.
Hoshinoya Kyoto
KAI Enshu
KAI Izumo
I have been to these three facilities with him.
I know about what happened before that, but I won't write about it. (Huh, why? Well, because it feels a little frustrating, you see.) #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
Sebas's wish this time was to stay at a hotel called OMO, which is one of the Hoshino Resorts brands.
As of August 2024, there are 17 facilities in total under the Hoshino Resorts OMO brand.
OMO is a lodging brand developed by Hoshino Resorts targeting urban tourists, located in cities such as Hakodate, Kanazawa, Gotanda, Osaka, and Naha. In addition to a comfortable stay, they offer plenty of activities so you can experience the local life and culture.
The purpose of this Tokyo stay (though we actually hung out in Kanagawa) was not so much that we had business in Gotanda, but rather to attend a lecture at the 'Square Ebara Hiratsuka Hall' in Shinagawa.
We could have easily done it as a day trip, but we decided to stay over! So Sebas searched for OMO and made the reservation.

Arrival~
Now, let's go in~❣️

The reason Sebas likes Hoshino Resorts is because he wants to see the atmosphere, beauty, and design of the buildings.
The OMO I researched beforehand felt especially playful and intriguing.
And this lobby was truly worth seeing🤗

Hoshinoya and KAI offer dining as one of their major highlights.
OMO does not provide dinner.
However, they have a system where they can recommend nearby restaurants if you wish.

There is a staff member in charge of restaurant recommendations who will ask about your preferences.
Since I had already eaten Chinese food in Yokohama Chinatown, I requested something other than Chinese, and they suggested a Spanish restaurant.
It was a delightful service to be able to hear the opinions of staff members who live locally, rather than just searching on our own.
Before heading out for dinner, we relaxed in our room.

I stayed in a Deluxe Twin room.
The impression of the room was very good♡
Compared to other Hoshinoya or Kai properties, it is simpler, so it might not be suitable for those who prefer luxury hotels.
A lady I saw in the lobby seemed surprised that it wasn't the Hoshino Resorts she had imagined, and she was bombarding the staff with questions. Yeah, I get it, it might be a surprise if you didn't know.
The view from the 21st floor in the morning made me feel wonderful.

I went to the 14th floor for breakfast.

The rice ball breakfast set was very delicious.
You can choose a Western-style meal, but the guidance definitely seemed to push the rice balls😂
We talked about how if we come back, we'll order both the Japanese and Western options and share them.
Salad, yogurt, and drinks were free.
At the restaurant, a child of some overseas guests waved at me every time our eyes met. I even got carried away thinking, 'Do I still have it?'
(Maybe they were just showing off how cute they were?😂)
There is a gym, coin laundry, and more on the 15th floor. There was a system where you could take mineral water back to your room.

In this photo, he's just posing...
But after I left him alone for a few minutes, he was pedaling the exercise bike with incredible intensity.
Come to think of it...Hoshinoya Kyoto I haven't written an article about it yet. I wrote about Kai Enshu but it was mixed in with other events and couldn't really be called a hotel record, and it was the same for Kai Izumo.
Since memories of stays tend to fade after a few years, I would like to write articles about them properly while I still remember.
