How Parent and Child Walk #Weekly Short Short Note [Disinheritance Guidebook]
"I'm cutting ties with my son."
He shouted while spilling more than half of a spoonful of pudding.
"Mr. Nakai, it won't taste good if you eat it while angry."
He gets angry if his son doesn't visit, yet his son visits every month.
"I'm disowning a guy like that!"
"Here we go again with 'bring me the Disinheritance Guidebook'."
When Sumiko the caregiver said that, he replied, "The Disinheritance Guidebook!"
"Here you go," she said, handing Mr. Nakai a book.
Mr. Nakai began reading it with a satisfied look.
"Hello."
"Oh, speak of the devil, Takayuki. Your father was just saying he's disowning you again."
"I'm sorry. I'm always causing trouble."
"Not at all. Mr. Nakai, Takayuki is here."
Mr. Nakai glanced at his son but immediately became absorbed in the book again.
"Huh, this is an old 'Lonely Planet' guidebook," Takayuki said.
"My son took this with him when he went overseas. I told him to come back after 10 years, but he hasn't returned once since then. The last thing I said to him after we fought was 'You're disowned.'"
"He'll be home soon."
Takayuki gently placed his hand on his father's shoulder.
