A letter addressed 'From the future' arrived without fail whenever I reached a moment of decision. A circle if my thinking was correct. An X if it was wrong.
University entrance exams, career choices. Confessing to my girlfriend. Even whether to proceed with a business deal. This mysterious letter that arrived before I made a decision guided my life toward brilliance.

Today is the board meeting. The big moment for me as CEO. The key to the success of this project lies in which of the two trading countries I choose.

I had an answer in mind. However, the letter that always gives me a push didn't arrive this time. I see. Is the message this time that I should decide the biggest gamble of my life based on my own ability?

"I'm going with Country J."

After the board meeting, the usual envelope was on my car seat.
What's with the timing? You're late. But that's fine. I believe in my own decision. Thank you for everything, letter from the future.

I opened the letter.

"Thank you as always. This is your Time Slip Messenger. We apologize for the delay in printing your message due to the printer running out of ink. The answer this time is X. Please kindly acknowledge."

An email would have been fine.
