🔮 Happy Writing Marathon #25: What is something you have loved since you were a child?

Memories from childhood fade away so quickly, don't they? I sometimes feel like half of my past is just a product of my imagination (laughs). Even so, there are things I can still lose track of time doing. When I looked for the roots of those things, two main ones emerged.

The first is my curiosity to "know the secrets"!

Since I was a child, I loved devouring fantasy worlds and biographies, analyzing the backstories of tales and the feelings of the characters. It felt like I was "translating" worlds that couldn't be put into words. And perhaps because I was shy,
I wanted to get along with everyone, so I would be obsessed with checking my friends' compatibility with a fortune-telling book in hand. This was also a form of "analyzing" human relationships, wasn't it? This passion for "knowing the secrets" hasn't cooled down at all. The Chinese dramas I'm currently hooked on are all about court fantasy or gods unraveling destiny!

And now, I use tarot and astrology to read real-life destinies and deep psychology, interpreting the flow of the stars to offer advice.

The second is my curiosity for "creating delicious things"!

This is, quite simply, my love for delicious food!

When I was a child, it was double-scoop ice cream. I would stake my life on figuring out which combination was the most delicious. Going to the shopping mall on weekends was my greatest joy.

Now, I use food feng shui to balance my luck while eating healthily and enjoying the things I want to eat. My obsession for the past year has been roasted sweet potatoes. I am currently exploring which toppings make which potatoes taste the best.

Writing this down, I realized for the first time that I have always been observing the events and materials right in front of me, and finding joy in creating value from my own unique perspective. Now, I wonder what new "likes" will appear in the rest of my life? I intend to keep my antennas up, cherishing the seeds of excitement.
