📘Book Introduction Series📖 'Haruharu Diary ~Haru-chan and Her Funny Friends~' Laugh😀 and cry a little😥 [The Reality of Disability Support]
Good morning♪ This is Makidai😀
The book I'm introducing this time is one I supported about 4 years ago on the
"crowdfunding service'Makuake'
"—a heartwarming book📕*'Haruharu Diary' (Text: Kazuo Tohara / Illustrations: Junko Ito)*.

🌸Meeting this book
This book depicts the daily life of 'Haruharu,' a vocational support facility primarily for people with intellectual disabilities.
It is a bright and positive story✨ modeled after Harumi-san (who has over 35 years of experience as a facility staff member), the wife of the author, Kazuo Tohara.
In their daily lives, the users with disabilities show us 'goofs' that make you laugh out loud—
it is packed with such unique and lovable episodes😄

💡The theme the author wanted to convey
A sentence in the afterword was very wonderful😀.
'...What I wanted to highlight was not the flashy side, but the steady lives of people with disabilities. Even while feeling some inconvenience due to their handicaps, they are fully coexisting with those around them. There is no drama here to move people to tears, but there are the wonderful smiles of human beings. There is no seriousness like raising a fist to protest human rights issues, but you will be drawn in by the characters in the story. And actually, isn't this charm as a human being the greatest power to change the world's consciousness toward people with disabilities?'
I thought this was absolutely true.
The sight of people living their lives to the fullest, laughing, and spending time together—
I believe that there, it is not 'special,' but a 'natural human existence'🌿

👨👩👧👦Thoughts I want to pass on to the future

I want my daughter's cute
