I Am the Queen / [Story] Polar Bear Literature Club

The story ends here.
I was just a village girl, but the prince fell in love with me, we married, and I lived in the castle.
It's a happy ending, isn't it?
But my life hasn't ended. From here on, it becomes history.
The king passed away, and my husband, the prince, succeeded him and became king.
He was a handsome and kind prince.
But he lacked the judgment and dignity required of a king.
Naturally, those who would try to seize power from my husband appeared.
Even I feel nothing but anxiety about the country he rules.
However, my mother-in-law had faith in me.
Ever since my marriage to the prince was decided, she taught me many things.
How to deal with other countries. The politics of the nation, the flow of money.
The maid told me that my mother-in-law had been destined to be queen since she was young and had worked hard to become a good wife and a good queen.
Could it be that the former king was also...
I may only remain in history as a wife, or perhaps my name won't even be remembered at all.
But I will continue to support this country.
Perhaps it might even be told as a story.
