Everyone is a bit of an attention seeker, more or less

What exactly is an 'attention seeker'?

It's often thought that attention seekers are easily disliked, but
there are also attention seekers who aren't.
What's the difference?

Is that similar to the taste of Calpis?

It's delicious when you make it luxuriously concentrated, but it's too sweet, and
if it's too thin, it has no flavor.

The perfect balance is best.

And that perfect taste varies from person to person.

I don't really hear of people who hate Calpis, though.

Then, how is it different from being 'menhera' (mentally unstable)?
It looks like a type of attention-seeking behavior.

Attention seekers are the 'charge outward' type, shouting 'Pay attention to me!'

Menhera are the 'threat' type, holding a knife to their own throat and saying, if you don't pay attention to me,
this knife will...

If you avoid and ignore an attention seeker, they'll eventually crash somewhere else, so it's fine, but
it's not that simple with menhera.
You have to take that knife away from them.

They seem similar, but the weight is different.

The classic examples of someone coming up to you saying 'Pay attention to me!' and you thinking 'How cute!' are
dogs and cats, aren't they?

When they enter 'attention-seeking mode,' they'll demand it endlessly, but
once they're satisfied, they just wander off.

Ultimately, it seems it means being able to manage your own mood.

Isn't this the most charming kind of attention seeker?

Ask for just a little bit,

and then find the rest on your own.

That is the pride of an 'attention seeker,' isn't it?
