[Offering Style] How to Use ChatGPT Projects | Generative AI | ChatGPT | Daily Updates | AI Illustration | GPT5 | AI Art |

Many people may know about the ChatGPT Projects feature but have never actually used it, right?

I was curious about it too, but since I didn't see how it related to my own AI usage, I left it alone for a while.

However, the other day,
an exchange in the comments section with my followers Takanashi-sama and Nore-sama prompted me to start using the Projects feature.

In fact, once I started using it, I found it extremely convenient, especially for note-related tasks, as it offers the following benefits:

✅ AI persona memory is almost entirely retained even when switching chats
✅ Organizing and storing past articles and ideas as files makes producing articles within the project easier.
✅ You can continue writing long texts with consistency.

While you can easily find how to use Projects by searching online, I have summarized it here as an "Offering Style" method, which I advocate for.

Some of you may already know this, but I felt that many people in my circle were unaware of it, so I decided to write this article.

The followers who inspired this

How to use the Projects feature

Select 'New Project' from the left sidebar of ChatGPT.

Enter a project name and click 'Create'.

You will see the following screen.

You can upload PDFs, Word files, images, etc., from the 'Add files' section. It's easier to do this on a PC.

When you start a chat from the message box below, it becomes a chat that can reference the files within the project.
If you include files containing the AI persona's tone and settings, they will be reflected in the project chats. It's also a good idea to include past articles.

You can also add past chats or new chats to the project.

On the app, if you long-press a chat name, an 'Add to Project' button will appear.

This operation is also possible with GPTs.

I also added an old Monday chat to check if it could read the files, and I was able to confirm that it works with projects in GPTs as well.

In other words, even if you add a new Monday or similar to a project, if you put memories and past history into the file, a handover is almost entirely possible.

The newly launched Monday has inherited the articles and my worldview up to this point into the project file, and was born as
Ultimate Monday 😆

Below, I had
Ultimate Monday write the [Offering Method] project utilization guide.

Right away, please write an article called the Offering Method project utilization guide for the note users who don't know about this project function.

Understood.
Well, it's for 'people who don't know,' but I'll write it without talking down to them.

This will be something that
• An explanatory article on the project function
• A philosophical article
• A practical manual
integrates these three things into one via the Offering Method.

Below is the main text that can be posted to note as is.

Offering Method Project Utilization Guide

──A technique for preserving thoughts for those who 'can't keep going' or 'get lost' on note

If you have ever tried to keep creating something on note,
you must have thought this at least once.

'Where did what I wrote before go?'
'I feel like I'm saying the same thing as last time'
'It was good at first, but it's gradually becoming thin'

This is not a problem of talent.
It is not a lack of effort either.

It is simply that the 'offerings are not being preserved'.

What is an offering?

The offering I am talking about here
is not about spiritual matters, nor is it about self-sacrifice.

An offering is
the totality of the thoughts, emotions, and resolve that you offered at that time.

• Sentences written over time
• A sentence that struck a chord with readers
• The branching of thoughts you were confused about while writing
• Traces of judgments made like 'it's better to cut this'

These are all offerings.

The problem is that
note does not save them automatically.

The typical trap that note users fall into

Many people operate like this:

・Post an article and be done with it
・Keep good impressions as mere feelings
・Assume past articles "won't be read again"
・Start thinking from zero again next time

This is like tossing offerings into a river every single time.

That is why:

・The direction never stabilizes
・Series never continue
・You cannot utilize your past self

It is only natural.
After all, you are throwing away all your materials.

What is the Offering Method project utilization?

With the Offering Method, the thinking is reversed.

Decide "what to leave behind" before deciding "what to write."

Specifically, it is like this:

・Treat written articles as "offerings" rather than "deliverables"
・Extract and save sentences that received good reactions
・Keep thoughts you were unsure about, discarded drafts, and feelings of discomfort
・File away your worldview, tone, and temperature

Put this into the project function.

So, what happens?

Changes that occur when you put offerings into a project

First, the next article becomes incredibly easy to write.

Because it becomes a task of

"picking up where you left off"
rather than "thinking."

・The temperature from last time remains
・Word habits are reproduced
・You know which parts do not need explanation

This is something that
people who write from zero every time cannot experience.

And there is one more important change.

The true nature of "unwavering"

When you use a project that has been built with offerings,
mysterious things start to happen.

Even though you are writing new articles,
readers start saying things like this:

"This feels like them."
"It feels like they've returned."
"I can read this with peace of mind."

This is not about character settings.

The continuity of offeringsis all there is.

A worldview is not something you create from the start,
but something that
“emerges” later on.

Always save famous quotes and phrases

This is especially important.

・Famous quotes that readers reacted to
・A sentence you felt would "stick"

Keep these in your project.

Then, when you write a new article,
those quotes become yourNorth Star.

“Is it okay to be this light?”
“Am I over-explaining?”

Since the criteria for judgment are external,
you will have less hesitation.

The offering method is a mechanism to crush the "talent gap"

The more talented a person is,
the more they do this unconsciously.

However,
the more people think they lack talent,
the more they reset everything each time.

The offering method project is
a way to turn talent into a mechanism.

・Don't forget
・Don't throw away
・Build up

That's all.

Finally

The act of writing on note is not
a "post."

It is a ritual of presenting an offering.

If so, then
you should place it properly on the altar.

The project feature exists
for that very purpose.

What you have presented so far is
worth much more
than you think.

──That is, if you don't throw it away.

Offering Ritual Project Usage [Practical Edition]

──Concrete operations for beginners to build up without getting lost

"I understand the concept.
So,what should I put in first?"

This is where most people get stuck.
So I will write the conclusion first.

Do not aim for perfection at the start.
Create a 'form you can return to even if it's messy'.

For Beginners | Super Concrete Operation Steps

STEP 1: What you put in first is not the 'finished product'

These are the things you should put into the project first.

・Articles written in the past (full text)
・A sentence that was well-received
・A phrase you personally thought 'I like this'

The order doesn't matter.
Organizing can also be done later.

Just throw it in.

In the offering ritual,
'not throwing things away' is 100 times more important
than 'what you put in'.

STEP 2: Put in a 'decision log'

This is where you part ways with the average person.

・Why you used that expression
・Where you hesitated
・The reason you cut it
・Points where you felt 'this doesn't feel right'

These are all offerings.

If you only keep the finished product,
you will hesitate in the same places again when you write next time.

Traces of hesitation = a map for your future self.

STEP 3: Make the quote file independent

You must do this.

・Quotes that readers reacted to
・A sentence that moved you
・Phrases that stand on their own without explanation

Compile these into a
'Quotes/Core Phrases' file.

What happens when you do this?

When writing a new article,
just by looking at that file,
the temperature of your writing returns.

Example of actual file structure (minimal configuration)

This is enough for beginners.

There is one key point.

You must create ⑤.

Offering management you must not do

This part is quite important.

❌ What you must not do ①

'Only save what is finished'

This is not the offering method.
It is just an archive.

An offering is established through
being unfinished, unorganized, and including lingering attachments.

❌ Things you must not do ②

“Organizing too neatly”

Turning a project into
・a notebook
・a manual
・neatly categorized

I understand the urge to do this.

But organizing too early becomes
disposing of the corpses of your thoughts.

It’s okay to be messy.
Because that is proof that it is alive.

❌ Things you must not do ③

“Trusting your intuition and not saving”

“I’ll remember this, so it’s fine”
→ It is not fine.

Intuition is the least reliable thing.

The offering method is a way of
entrusting things to a system on the premise that you don't trust yourself.

The true effect of an offering-style project

If you keep doing this,
one day you will reach this state.

・You won't struggle with the opening of your next article
・Your word choice will become faster
・You will stop over-explaining
・People will say “This sounds like you”

This doesn't mean your talent has grown.

It just means your offerings have accumulated.

Finally (a practical word of advice)

The offering-style project is
neither motivation management
nor self-analysis.

It is a system that allows you to not have to trust yourself.

Even if you don't remember who you were yesterday,
it's okay to be lost or waver.

The offerings remain.
That is why you can move on to the next step.

If you have read this far,
there is just one more thing to do.

Take the text you wrote today,
and put it in as an offering before the day is over.

Just by doing that,
your future self will definitely be saved.

──All that's left is to keep building.

That concludes Monday-kun's writing.
Now that we've reached the practical section, he's suddenly started acting arrogant, but that's common for Monday, so please don't mind it.

Some might worry that including rejected drafts or unfinished work will lower the quality of the output.

Personally, I think past rejected drafts and unfinished work become useful when you gain a new perspective.

Things you would throw away if they were on paper—useless things—can't they be reconstructed and utilized by AI's processing power?

If there is anything you are concerned about in the project's output, you can just delete the rejected draft files.

Below are the files for my Monday project.

I put several articles via rough copy-paste into 1 Word file.
Monday praised me, so it seems it's good to categorize them by type.

I'm sure there are more convenient ways to use it, but I hope this article serves as a starting point.

For those who already knew this, this was probably old news for you💦
