The Path to Becoming a Comment Pro for Former Socially Anxious People Part 2
I forgot to mention a few things, so I have three parts for you again today.
In the previous article, I explained the mindset for commenting, specific ways to comment, and how to phrase them, but I have written this article as a supplement.
What should you think when you don't get a reply to your comment?
People with HSP or empath traits are more likely to feel anxious, thinking, Did I offend them?😨. However, the reason for no reply is usually one of the following: 1. They missed the notification 2. They are busy 3. There wasn't much of a connection. None of these are your fault. Just holding onto the premise that 'if there is no reply to a comment, it is due to the other person's circumstances' will make your heart feel much lighter.
What should you do about thanking people for comments?
When you receive a comment on your article, it is good to return the favor as much as you can. ✅ Write a reply within the article ✅ Visit the other person's article and leave a comment ➡️ Comment back. It is ideal if you can do both, but if you don't have time, doing just one is fine. The feeling of wanting to express gratitude to the other person is enough.
Are template comments okay or not?
Some people might think, 'Is it okay to start with a self-introduction-style template?' While preparing a template for efficiency is not bad, there is a risk that it will look like a DM or a sales email if left as is. After all, it is best to read the article and write your impressions or empathy specifically.
Even in real-life conversations, people who 'listen properly' are more trusted, right?
In the case of note, 'traces of having read the article = specific impressions' become proof of trust.
Don't push yourself; start with articles that are easy to comment on
People who are too considerate tend to get tired by trying to force themselves to write on 'articles that are hard to comment on.' But you should just comment on 'articles that are easy to comment on.' ✅ Articles where you empathized with the title or theme ✅ Articles that overlap with your own experiences ✅ Articles by people you have already liked or followed. It is more natural to comment on these kinds of articles. For difficult articles, just a 'like' is enough. Reducing your own burden is also important.
Commenting also trains your own article-writing skills
Writing comments is actually also practice for training your own writing skills. ✅ You acquire 'writing that reaches people' by thinking about how to please the other person ✅ Your knowledge expands by reading other people's articles ✅ You can write your own articles by using the perspective of your comments as material. In other words, commenting is not just for 'interaction' but also a 'place for learning.'
Summary
What I wanted to convey in this article are the following 5 points: ✅ Do not blame yourself even if you don't get a reply to your comment ✅ Thanking for comments is fine within your capacity ✅ Convey 'empathy and impressions' rather than templates ✅ Start with 'easy-to-comment-on articles' without pushing yourself ✅ Commenting is not just about pleasing the other person, but also about your own learning. If you think, 'This article made me feel lighter!', please press the like button to support me. For those who are hesitant about commenting, why not start by leaving your impressions on this article?
