As fate would have it, Karuizawa is one hour from the city center by Shinkansen, but...
Through another twist of fate, this place is one hour away by local train (though since it's standard gauge, the German-made Siemens trains accelerate without hesitation...).

Living in a villa with my lovely wife, where we wake up to the sound of Japanese bush warblers nearby—what a luxurious and lovely life...

Since I was inside the house early in the morning, I planned to use the slope of the hill in the backyard (it's narrow, so maybe it's a passageway) to place the sound source.

I set my favorite device, my Xperia, to maximum volume. Then, I placed it in a small window

Well, if I leave it behind the screen, the sound will escape and be absorbed indoors, so I'll use acoustic engineering again. I'll effectively use the entire wall of the building facing the slope as an infinite baffle.

I placed the Xperia between the screen and the glass window and closed the window tightly so that no sound would leak to the back.

Now the preparation is complete. Well, since it's a restroom, I'll treat the sound leaking from the glass surface as if the room itself is an enclosure
